(Fark) Survey If we can somehow squeeze in a thread NOT relating to blackouts and SOPA and PIPA (dang, she's cute...), who is/was your favorite "Law and Order" character? Mine was Lenny. I would have liked to have a beer with him   (fark.com) divider line 89

Jack McCoy, motherf*ckers!

2012-01-18 12:35:54 PM
Lenny and Jack. Seems like you could have a drink or two and listen to some interesting stories. Hmm funny I can't recall most of the female Assistant DA's by name.

Jill Hennesy..

This is the correct answer. They were simply the best.

Though I do like Ed Green, too.

The answer is always Stabler.

I was partial to Angie Harmon. That raspy voice was good stuff.

Quasar: The answer is always Stabler.

I thought this was about the original Law and Order. If it's about SVU then Stabler Casey would be my pick.

Even if it's about the original, it's still Stabler because Stabler.

Who was the chick that was the ADA and was suddenly a lesbian when they fired her?

A fictional person's sobriety is a pretty minor thing to troll about, so I can't tell if you're a huge fan waiting for someone to pick up on the reference, or a sincere person who never saw any of the episodes dealing with Lenny's alcoholism.

2012-01-18 12:42:48 PM
Lenny was an alcoholic, assholemitter.

Lenny was great and quick witted.

I know he was an alcoholic but shiat I could still drink with Jack and buy Lenny something non alcoholic.

Quasar: Even if it's about the original, it's still Stabler because Stabler.

His character is fantastic. Didn't quite care for how they wrote him out of the show though.

Ice T is the best.

My favorite bad guy was the dude on SVU who went on a rape fantasy web site and pretended to be his ex-girlfriend, invited some dude over to her house for a little surprise buttsecks.

Bonus: I think it was Fred Savage, all grown up.

The IMDB summary says this about his episode:

After arresting a man accused of raping several neighborhood women, Detectives Benson and Stabler attempt to obtain an indictment for their suspect with the help of a key eyewitness--his last victim. However, the suspect's decision to handle his own defense casts some doubt over the trial's outcome as he proves to be a formidable opponent for ADA Cabot.

I don't know if you've ever watched Scrubs, but Christopher Meloni was in one episode as a pediatrician and it was outstanding. My favorite one apart from Brendan Fraser and Heather Graham.

I think I'd like to hang with the guy that was in the super old school episodes, but then went batshiat crazy and started to write articles in World Net Daily about how Janet Reno had a personal vendetta against him.

I keep trying to figure out that dude's name, but the internet went on strike.

I'm a sucker for tall-ish brunettes. Always liked her but thought she needed to eat a sammich or five.

Lately on her new show Rizzoli and Isles, it seems she has gotten a touch curvier, and, has grown a magnificent set of gazongas. They may or may not be fake, but I don't care.

Michael Moriarty - Ben Stone

I've caught a lot of the early episodes lately. Sorvino was outstanding.

You're thinking of Southerlyn. Also, +1 for being the only person in the thread who knows that it's spelled "Lennie."

/-1 for spelling Briscoe "Brisco"
/I'd go with Jack McCoy, Lennie Briscoe, Anita Van Buren and Adam Schiff myself...

That's right. That was a different episode, but Fred Savage still made a pretty creepy bad guy.
Liberties was the episode I was looking for. Jon Patrick Walker (never heard of him) played the bad guy.

She's probably the most realistic: a lab weenie that actually stays in the lab.

But the best has to be Ice T. Because he once was a kangaroo.

When I got my first good paying job out of college, I went and bought the biggest TV I could find. I named it Lenny, after Detective Lenny Briscoe.

Lenny. No question.

My favorite Law & Order character was the one that was there for a really long time, then all of a sudden disappeared from the main credits.

Once everyone noticed that character was totally gone, someone stepped up and made sure he got put totally back into the main credits.

2012-01-18 03:13:16 PM
Jack McCoy because he will protect me from robots who want to steal my meds.

Angie Harmon because...well LOOK at her!

I know some people who named a pipe Jerry Orbake after the late great.

2012-01-18 03:17:57 PM
I think Lennie is probably one of the best characters on his own that show has produced, but overall I think the final cast had some of the better chemistry post-Orbach. In the very least let's give Connie some credit for dealing with Cutter's scumbaggery and everyone completely lampshading how model-hot she was (note: after they figured the character out I thought de la Garza actually did justify her being on the show, especially that ep where she gets roped into providing that one twerp's defense counsel).

2012-01-18 03:18:28 PM
I loved the fact they had a couple of scenes of Lenny playing pool because that guy could actually play like a pro.

2012-01-18 03:19:37 PM
Anita Van Buren and Munch and also the blonde chick kwame mentioned.

/I also like saying the name "Mariska Hargitay"
//People also like saying "salsa"
