Anyone who lives on Long Island has fallen asleep on the drunk train home from NYC and ended up in either Ronkonkoma or Babylon. (Or possibly Port Jeff, dunno that north shore line well.) That's always fun. I have a great CSB about a recent adventure but I'll only tell if bribed.

I used to wake up at Forest Hills, especially after a late night, and catching the last train. good times good times. The walk back to Green St used to make me think of Warriors.

When I was at the Academy plebe year I took leave alone to NYC and got hammered at the Limelight. Coming back, I got on the last train to Garrison but passed out. Missed the Garrison stop and wound up being forced to disembark at the last stop, sleeping in an elevator at the station. It was farking cold.

Several years ago, a guy fell asleap on a NJ Transit train. The train stopped for a red signal, the guy woke up and thought it was his stop. He rushed to the end of the car and ran down the steps. He steped off into space, the train came to rest on a bridge. Needless to say he never made it home.

As chance would have it, the dozy passenger brought the train to a halt at a critical junction where several different types of current cross, causing a short-circuit.

In other words, poor engineering. And I don't mean the train's engineer.
