What a bunch of bs.

It should be a double-edged sword:

No coverage in the media means NO COVERAGE; no more commercials with your latest project etc.

Why do I believe they don't want that?

Sergio Mendes couldn't walk down the street in South America without being mobbed.

I can understand where they're coming from, though. I don't think anyone has a problem with photographers at press events, promotions, etc. It's when you have guys with $10000 zooming lenses, night vision cameras, following them around 24-7 and taking pictures of them in their backyard, etc. That's the type of crap they're trying to curb.

The press in England is a bit bigger on psycho celeb stalking then in the US.

Not a long list. We got Ashley Judd and John Calipari, that's about it.

/Oh you mean the United Kingdom
//My bad

Actually, this makes a kind of sense. Doing promotional appearances, commercials, etc., are things the "celeb" is getting paid for, which makes it part of their job. Having some pap take their picture during their personal time is not. That'd be like seeing a brick layer on the street, shoving some bricks at him, and asking him to build you a retaining wall for free. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't work for free.

The British press is loathed by celebrities. If there is no incident, the press will instigate it. With the exception of Sid getting beaten up by the biker bodyguards on the Sex Pistols' first American tour, all the violence was instigated by the British press who were following the tour.

What, they want an empty list?

If they want their privacy, then get a normal job, give up the huge paydays, and give up all the luxuries that come with being famous.

They should only have to allow the photos when they are doing promos or "on the job". Following them around and taking pictures anywhere else is stalking plain and simple.
