I wonder if there is some way that they can fill it with pingpong balls or something to keep it afloat and maybe drydock it.

FTFA: The Costa Concordia took a nearly identical route past Giglio Island in August to the one Friday that led to the sinking of the ship, NBC News has learned.
Adam Smallman, editor of shipping magazine Lloyd's List, said the route taken in August, based on satellite tracking, was "authorized by the company and the coast guard."

Well, there was at least one difference with this route compared to the one they took in August...

The one they took in August didn't result in sinking the damned boat.

I hate the "disingenuous quote" bit.

Fixed.

From what I've read, they are going to destroy the ship. First, there going to load a Martin Mars bomber's water tanks full of diesel fuel, and then fly it over the length of the boat, coating it in fuel. Then there going to hit it hard with the full AIM-120 AMRAAM payloads of five F-18s. Whatever isn't instantly incinerated will burn and then sink to the bottom of the ocean. They need to move quickly, though, because the strike window is closing as the weather worsens and the ship continues to slip off of the reef.

I would pay good money if they would actually airlift every past and present Real Life cast member on to the ship and broadcast them going down with it. And maybe each other.

I heard they were going to detonate a thermonuclear device inside the ships hull, because they wanted to recover all the refrigerators.

Raising it would be difficult, there was a French liner called the Normandie that caught fire and capsized during WW2. It seems someone lit a cutting torch next to a pile of flammable life vests. The ship was righted but it took months and the entire superstructure had to be removed. The plus side was that the navy gained a great deal of salvage diver training from the mess. The hulk was eventually cut up for scrap.

It was the waves to relatives on shore that started this whole mess.

Flick the rock out, pull out the dent, put a little bondo on it, geez, it's just a flesh wound!

This guy sneaks aboard the cruise liner and jumps into one of the lifeboats to hide. Damn there was already someone else there. Not so bad tho to have a bit of company until he noticed it was the Italian captain.

Can you not understand the significance (to the captain's legal defense, at the very least) of both the company and the coast guard allowing the ship to take the same route?

(Almost the same, anyway ...)

Since none of the girls came up pregnant, Gilligan must have been used as a concubine.
