the guy is a freak, I hope his body puts on muscle and weight fast, or he will snap next year in the NBA.

/I think Sheldon Williams holds Duke's single season record with 123, I would have thought Kentucky's would be higher than 84

I heard this on Mike & Mike this morning and I thought "they have to be talking about the Freshman record. Surely Riddick's record is more than that." Wow. So where does this kid rank nationally?

He's the leading shot blocker in the nation, I'm not sure what the NCAA record is for freshman single season. All I know is, he is so much fun to watch.

I'm a piss poor UK fan. Old Republic has been eating a huge amount of my time. I keep telling myself "hey, UK is on later", and then when the time comes, I completely forget. But what I have seen, both him and Kidd-Gilchrist have look damn good.

Best In The World: "I support mosques, obviously. We need churches, temples, mosques. Whatever people use to speak with their god or to receive spiritual inspiration is good for the country. But the symbolism of it at ground zero, within two blocks or three blocks, I believe is wrong." - Peter King

I'm only 5'9", yo BUT imma force when it comes to blockin shots. The main ingredient 2 blockin a shot is that u gots ta kno about trajectory. It's like in MMA. U got through the progressions of bodily function.

I have to admit I'm curious what other logins you use....

Yeah. they're both absolute beasts. I don't think I've seen a player who consistently plays with the effort of MKG. If the whole team keeps progressing, they will be unstoppable.

Just off the top of my head, I think every time Kentucky has had a great shot blocker, they have had two great shot blockers on the team together.

For perspective, David Robinson averaged 5.91 blocks per game in the season he had 207 blocks.

Davis is averaging 4.68 per game through 19 games.

That was also Robinson's junior year. Robinson's sophmore season, he averaged 4 a game. Davis should surpass that. It's more fair to compare him to Shawn James.

And at the end of the day, Davis won't see his sophmore season at UK, so we won't see if he is able to improve.

Nearly nightly he comes in and pretty much eats a whole pizza at a local chain, so he may be on his way.

He's kind of a dick too.

It helped that he played in the Colonial League, though

i think he'll crack 100, obviously shattering the record, if he doesnt get hurt or anything stupid happens. there's still another 12 or so games before the SEC tourney. he still has a chance at James' freshman record but it'll have to be a lot more than his average. he needs like another 50 or so to get there in 12 games. pretty tall order.

Just wanted to check in to say I friggin detest Calipari. That coach represents everything that is wrong with college basketball.

StinkyPinky: Just wanted to check in to say I friggin detest Calipari. That coach represents everything that is wrong with college basketball.

Why? Because he has a players first system that brings in top talent every year.

Remember when John Calipari made the NBA keep high school kids out? Oh wait, he didn't do that...but, how about the time he came up with the idea of college basketball players leaving before they graduate to go pro? Wait, that wasn't him, either... How, exactly, did John Calipari cause the hurt in your butt?
