The USA WILL NOT recover from this recession until a Republican is in office. Any recovery we are seeing now is thanks to the leadership of George W Bush, we just needed to give enough time for his policies to take effect.

Reality: Presidents are incapable of helping the economy. They can hurt it through stupid ideas (see TARP).
