That was completely lame, even for a spoof article.

The Eagles should buy them out, than secretly swap Casey Matthews for his brother.

Just don't miss that left turn.

Good, a guy I know bought stock in the Packers when the stock was trading high. Now he's broke and living on the street eating from dumpsters, drinking his own urine and trading hummers for booze. Loser.

BUY! BUY! BUY! :D

You don't think someone will post without reading the thread or the article? I envy your optimism.

CSB: A co-worker of mine's best friend is a Giants fan who scored tickets to the Packer game. Apparently some of the drunker fans at the game were suggesting that the Packers just sell Lambeau to the Vikings at this point.

/if they did I'd put a dome on it just to watch the state of Wisconsin Riot and burn the place to the ground

If you do miss it, just look for the fancy gent in knickerbockers. You can ask him.

It wasn't completely lame, but it could have been a MUCH better written spoof, I'll agree with you there. The Onion probably could have done a much better job.

The Green Bay schadenfreude links have been generating lots of comments. No suprise that the admins would continue to go to that well.

I doubt it. The onion has become less and less readable lately. Its becoming less satire and more thinly veiled hatred against everything and everyone.

Well that sucks.... I always thought they had a certain level of satire, and everyone else was just a pale imitation.

An office full of misanthropes sounds wonderful.

Finding this funny since I actually own stock in them from the 97 offering.

/Yes it was a poor investment
//Didn't do it for a profit though and would do it again if given the chance to do it over

Best In The World: So how do them stock work? If own a stock, do I own a seat? Or do I got to also buy a ticket and if I buy that ticket do I get a discount or pay myself a dividend? Or peep this, what if I won PowerBall or I hit on the Pick6 Lotto and I bought a lot of stocks. How many stocks I need 4 me 2 say that I'm tha owner? If I own 1 stock do I have a vote or does just tha majority controller have last say?

You get a vote at the annual stockholders' meeting to choose the board of directors. Other than that, not much. The stock doesn't appreciate, it pays no dividends, if the team goes bankrupt all proceeds go to non-profit charities and no single stockholder can own more than (I think) 2,000 shares, so you'll never run into the "majority controller" thing.

I used to read SportsPickle regularly for a couple of years, despite the fact that the majority of the content wasn't all that humorous. I'll even occasionally read his latest posts on ESPN's Page 2, but I still marvel that he's the best they could find out there to write for them.

He's pretty funny on Twitter - most gags aren't funny for more than 140 characters.
