Total hottie with skills.

I'm in lust.

She showed those orcish rugs who was boss.

Was the bow really loose or is she just superhumanly strong? I tried shooting a bow this past summer and I could hardly move the bowstring back a few inches. She was pulling it back without any effort at all (apparently).

'was' is the past tense. You should have used 'were' which is the subjunctive.

That chick looks far more masculine than Legolas ever did

Bows have different pull weights. That was probably a 20-25lb competition bow. Most bows are for hunting, and have pull weights of at least 45lbs. 65lbs is probably the norm, but they go higher than that.

65lbs is the norm? I guess I better think up a new plan for hunting food once the zombie apocalypse happens.

Looked more like about 5 lbs. I'm not sure the arrows would make it through a down jacket.

That being said, she's very graceful.

Hard to tell how accurate she is. She'shiatting a 4x6 target from 20 feet, but I can't quite tell the mean grouping. (She does have some outliers.)

Let's see her use a longbow.

I'd guess probably a 20 lbs draw on that, but she's still pretty strong to be loosing that many arrows that quick. I haven't shot a bow in years, but I used to have a 60 lbs longbow, and that thing was harrrrrd. Medieval English longbows used in warfare had an average draw of about 150lbs, which is just insane. There's a reason why English archers were down at the archery butts EVERY SINGLE DAY.

arrows didnt look like they had a head on them, seems more for show than accuracy >.

No she is aiming at the metal object hung from above. Looking just at the last round, she hit it three times (the first shot hits it is off screen), two shots are off screen so who knows how good they are, of the remaining seven shots, four are right next to the target and three are a little further away. Similarly while strafing she hits the target a couple times. So I would say she is fairly accurate for what she is doing.

I agree looks like 20lb bow. Which really is not a whole lot in particular if you practice regularly.

brap: I was a little curious to know if she was actually hitting anything.

She's like 5 metres away from her target, of course she was hitting something. The standard distance for indoor archery is 18 to 25 metres.

the poundage is likely low 25-35 lbs id guess closer to 25 is usually what is used by schools and whatnot for archery classes etc. the way she pulls the string back is odd in that ive never seen anyone draw a bow like that but whatever works lol. I use a 65lb martin hunter recurve for hunting and its not something you would speed shoot with, not at that weight.

2012-01-18 02:43:01 AM
As mentioned, bows vary in weight. I believe #45 is minimum for hunting. I recall that's what Fred Eichler, a well known bow hunter uses. I have a 60# long bow, which is actually heavier than I'm comfortable with. Howard Hill was using a 75# bow in his 70s, I think, and used bows upwards of 100# when hunting elephants.

quivering quim.

2012-01-18 04:24:32 AM
Damn, she's hot.

I agree, very light bow in the 20-25# range. I'd be curious to see what she can do if she shoots more slowly and takes the time to aim.

I really want to break out my bow again. Been teaching my wife rifle and pistol shooting. Time for the next set of lessons, I think. Got a 22# take-down recurve for her to use. I have a 40# recurve and 60# compound.

Hot in a very Bond-girlesque kind of way. Nice rack shot, too.

My school had choices of bows between 20-50 lbs. This 115 lb geek kid had no trouble with the 50 pounder while the jocks stuck with the 20 pounders.

My greenlights tend to happen after i go to bed. Ah well.

She's fairly precise which you can see at the end of the video... the last quarter or so.

syrynxx: 'was' is the past tense. You should have used 'were' which is the subjunctive.

Subject verb agreement trumps mood.

Was and were are both past tense. If you're going to play this game don't half ass it.

brap: I was a little curious to know if she was actually hitting anything.

It looked as though most of those would have hit a man sized target. Although it would have been more interesting for her to fire ten arrows that fast and hit ten different targets.

WhiteCrane: I believe #45 is minimum for hunting. I recall that's what Fred Eichler, a well known bow hunter uses.

I think I have the same bow that he uses. Mine is actually 50 but it goes up to 65.

Ok, I was turned on :)

2012-01-18 09:36:03 AM
I was less curious about her individual accuracy and picturing a group of archers doing this, which makes individual accuracy irrelevant. Imagine 500 archers loosing like that at a unit moving towards them. Scary!

Subby, you have begun an insurrection in the ladies bunks, the likes of which has not been seen before, and may never be seen again. We hate to be taunted.

That being said, 8/10, would bite again. Goddamnyou.

Watch the last set and you can see that when she hits the bull's eye it makes a different sound. Then watch again and listen. She hits it frequently.
