When asked what he was going to do next, the barber said that since it was Wednesday he'd go shopping and have buttered scones for tea.

God protects the stupid for some reason. The rest of us are f*cked.

Look, I know being a barber sucks as a profession but begging armed stranger for death seems a little drama-queenish.

It helps if you remember the ammunition and spend some of your previous heist money on a piece that doesn't say "Jennings" on the side. But yeah, that guy had great big brass balls and was lucky he was dealing with the stupidest man alive at the same time. You won't catch me doing that, I'll tell you that for nothing.

Thugs use cheap, unreliable firearms. What's not to get?

/guess they can add attempted murder to the armed robbery charge now

Like I keep saying, guns do not kill people.
People kill people, sometimes.

/'cause, after all, it is harder w/o a gun

Hmm. I wonder what kind of penalty should be given to someone who would murder a barber for the $100 that might be in the daily till.

Discuss.

How could the robber have known it was Ironballs McGinty?

he's a barber, he should have let the guy get in close, then lash out and crush his windpipe with his barber claws.

Does he like to put on women's clothes and hang about in bars?

Even the cheapest piece-of-shiat saturday night special will usually fire the round in the chamber before jamming. Of course, it's possible the robber forgot to load it or left the safety on or something - criminals aren't known for their smarts.

Brown people committing violent crimes? Let me file this under shiat I already know.

Read that as "Bieber" first. Had to reread it cuz that just didn't make any sense otherwise.

I tend to go to the chain places, but I once got my hair cut by a local barber. The dude was so lonely he kept me there talking for a whole damn hour. And his haircut sucked.

$100 worth of bullets, delivered with the speed and accuracy today's youth demand from their service providers.

If it's a revolver and the lighting's right, if they forgot the all-important "loading" step, you'd know it.

Either an obvious airsoft gun or the stupidest barber on earth.

/real gun? just for spite I'd have figured how it worked, come back and popped the fool.

Who?

Due to California law requiring California-manufactured guns to pass safety tests, Jimenez Arms submitted passing test results on the new guns to the state, but the guns failed subsequent additional independent tests. The law requires that upon failure, the manufacturer must correct the problem and resubmit for additional testing. Rather than complete the process, Jimenez Arms ceased California operations and established itself in Nevada, which has no safety testing requirements for firearms

Oh. Classy.

When I was in High School I remember reading a paper where a criminal went into our local Winn-Dixie and pointed a shotgun at the overnight cashier. According to the article the cashier calmly told the would be hold up guy to screw off and then walked off to the back of the store. The witnesses in the store backed up the cashiers story. His reason ? He would rather have someone shoot and kill him than get away with a crime in the state of Texas. Some people respond oddly to actual physical threats.

How would anyone know he told the robber to shoot him if he got shot?

We wouldn't know and there would be no tag.

More than likely. Sadly, it doesn't change the fact that he is an idiot and is no doubt spending his nights at the bar relating this story to anyone within earshot.

/also sad that the kid actually tried pulling the trigger... that gunman needs to be found before he does actually shoot someone

A guy that used to work for me carried a 9mm JA. One morning he was holstering it and shot himself in the ass.

Assuming it wasn't the bullet itself with the problem. I always seem to find a few duds when I go out shooting cans and whatnot with cheap ammo.

Trying a technique he only heard about in the middle of a batle... the robber was just asking to have his gun jam in him.

Besides, he tends to twist to elbow to absorb the recoil. That's more of a revolver technique.
