Based up on prior convictions, seems like the guy is kind of scumbag but, 10 years is a little ridiculous. And by little I mean farking insane.

How much is it gonna cost to keep this guy in prison for spitting on someone? Conversely how much of a difference could you make at a local school with that same amount of money.

More importantly, at least in my book, what is the penalty for spitting on a random, non-LEO stranger? You might get punched in the face, but my suspicion is that, should you call the cops over the incident, you wouldn't even get them to write up a report.

I'm going to give the legal system the benefit of the doubt and assume he was on probation or parole, which was revoked meaning he has to complete the full term for whatever he's done in the past.

I certainly hope that's the case.

10 years is not enough. This guy needs to learn to respect Authority and there's no better place to think about that than behind bars with others of your kind. I think he got off too light. The next incident would have obviously escalated to a much more heinous crime if not for the intervention of our righteous criminal justice system.
