Recent study isolates the cause of the vast wealth inequity that exists in America today. I won't name names here, but let's just say he had a thing for starting wars in the desert and dressing up in flight suits

Trickle Down Economics will work this time, don't you worry...
Funny how folks like Newt are quick to label Obama the "Food Stamp President" and claim more people are collecting Food Stamps now than under any other president, but a learned, intelligent man like him seems to be a little fuzzy on how we got to that situation in the first place (if it's even true)... I swear it's like there was no history before Obama took office with some of these clowns.

actually, it started with reagan. and the thirty years of ensuing rightward-leaning tax policy (bush, clinton, bush II, obama) has only made it worse.

Can you imagine what you would have done if the $5,000,000,000,000 were divided evenly among US Citizens? That would be about $65K a family.
Instead, Obama gives you a social security withholding tax that only kicks in if you have a job.

You could point your finger back to 'Nam, if you wanted, or further back.
Point is, we should have learned not to send our young off to die unless our home soil was under constant attack.
Bush and his boys should have known better, but so should the American people.
Too bad they are too busy watching sports or fashion shows.
Never learning from their mistakes.
If you strung the lot of them up on international TV, and interrupted programing during prime time and said, hey, don't do what these guys did, maybe, just maybe, someone would listen and learn.

Bush had some of the worst domestic policies ever. He plain didn't give a shiat. All he cared about was the missile defense system and ginning up an excuse to attack Saddam.

Yes, I believe he made another joke at that roast about looking for WMDs under his desk because he hadn't found them in Iraq (right about the same time the American Military Casualties in Iraq had reached about 1500.)

I don't believe that either. Though Reagan and Bush(es) helped it along ... This trend has been going since at least 1970, and it's too complex to be attributable to one person. Not to mention factors like increasing participation in the workforce by women, the rise of Asia manufacturing, international trade, cheap oil, low interest rates, consumer credit ...
Maybe JFK started it with his tax cuts?

And within that time span we've seen Google go from 85 a share to 700.
Its almost as if people can make money by risking their money in an investment.....and sometimes 1 persons investment is eough to screw up the entire formula when they go from living in their car to becoming a billionaire because they created a useful web tool or social networking site.
I bet Bush would get the blame whether people made money or lost money though.
sometimes the only way to win is to not play.

Look the real problem is the special tax categories. Their should be no capital gains tax it should all be income.
Also since the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are people their should not be a corporate tax rate, their should only be an income tax rate and corporations should by taxes on their income as if they were people.
