Well, one big difference is that, in the vast majority of the US, prostitution is illegal. It is legal with restrictions in the UK. I would think almost anyone would get in trouble at any job for engaging in illegal activities.

Whether prostitution should be legal or not is a whole different issue.

While I agree that we should eliminate bans on prostitution and drugs, it's a bit farcical to think that's a majority opinion. They couldn't even legalize marijuana in frickin' California when put to a public vote.
