That is pretty offensive to gay people. The vast majority of them have class.

This coming from a New Jersey-ite? That's like Satan saying that Saddam Hussein was a bad guy.

Ahh, the land of the progressives where freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of thought only apply to a select few. In reality the original founders of the Nazi party were a bunch of fudge packers themselves, so no wonder modern progressives also are so quick to get their panties in wad.

gaybirds can't pick up dogs and slam them to the ground and electrocute them and tie them to rape stands.
They don't also singlehandedly blow an undefeated season and a Superbowl for their former team.

Not for nothing, but I know a
LOT
of Giants fans that refer to the Cowboys as "Cowgirls", so I'll give him a pass on that one. I must say, "gaybirds" is new to me, although all Giants fans I know also loathe the Eagles as well, so I can't imagine this is THAT uncommon. It was in poor taste for a public official to make a statement like that, but honestly, the Giants fan in him took over, I can understand.

Getting upset about a word like that serves only as an example of why people refer to the weak as "gay".

See, it used to be that Gay meant light hearted and free. It was an insult in certain instances then, and that is still pretty much what people mean when they use it against someone that should be rough and tumble(also applicable to some homosexuals, nowadays).
When you adopt a word that comes with negative connotations, don't be surprised to find yourself tangled up in the insults. Maybe you shouldn't assume everything is about you. You know what they say about assume-ing, NTTATWWT.

Yeah, gaybirds is new to me too. I've always heard them referred to as the Dirty Birds. This term can also pertain to the Flyers.

If the Packers can claim their pre-Super Bowl titles as championships so can the Eagles. So that trophy case ain't empty.
As for the article, I'm from Philadelphia and went to a college that was about 50-50 when it came to Eagles/Giants fans and I never heard the giants fans use "Gaybirds". Now they mocked our pronunciation of Eagles, which I recognize is indeed warped and we just called them the giants.
Where we both agreed was the following;
Cowboys = cowgirls
Skins = pigs/piggies

I forgot to mention I spent 4 years in Texas and the cowboy fans didn't say "gaybirds" either. So this is a new one
As for the person who said they called us the dirty birds, I thought that was reserved by the falcons fans as a loving nickname for their team (when they went to the Super Bowl in the 90s(?))

Oh, is this where people get butthurt when fans call the team "we"?
So stupid. My money goes towards the teams and my support goes towards the teams, I'm calling them we. Suck on that.

What makes it even more pathetic with the fans that use "WE" is that as soon as the team loses a game it becomes "THEY."

I pay to watch all of Natalie Portman's movies and I make sure she's safe in her bedroom from the bushes outside her house and I buy all her used panties, but I still don't say "we" won an Academy Award.

The name "Giants" just doesn't lend itself to any funny twists.
Referring to other posts, New Yawkers may make fun of the way Philadelphians say "Iggles" but that's OK, they can keep on rootin' for their "Gints".
The guy who beat the Rangers fan is from New Jersey.
