I can remember an ad in a personals column: 35 yo gay male looking for STRAIGHT (not straight-looking, but just straight!) buddy for hunting and fishing trips. I need a buddy who knows how to handle a rifle, how to pack up fishing gear, and will not yap the whole bloody time about how I need to be more politically involved and why we need to be friends with a bunch of people most of which I have nothing in common with other than a sexual orientation. These kids are poor, uneducated and have frequently gotten the crap kicked out of them. So they organize in a way that most kids with little or no family support do.

Kudos to the D.C police. Get kids off the street for any reason at all. The fashion show angle is really immaterial.

There are lots of us who have developed into pretty good fighters. Nothing pisses off tough guys than getting their ass kicked by a fairy then being powerless to to that fairy kissing them in front of their hillbilly friends.
