All Tim Hortons Locations
(new window)
Secrets revealed!
Actually, looking at that, 700 Tim Hortons in the great Toronto area seemed like a lot, until I found the Starbucks map on the same site, and Chicagoland has 3,000 Starbucks.

Oh no, if North Korea knows that a minority of polar bears in the Northwest Territories have a chemical in their digestive systems that makes them abnormally explosive...
Canadians, avoid the zoo, it's not like there was much to see anyways.

We Americans can make their military a punchline. But my bottom line is that I'd really much rather our military be less involved globally. Maybe they are on to something.

They built
this
. Of course the Russians stole the plans to build the Mig-25 Foxbat and after the shiat settled the US bought them out and covered their airspace with give-away Boeing interceptor rockets with a range of 150 miles on a good day.
Can't have the northern neighbors competing with us on fighter jet technology, now can we?

A military, like any other tool, is useless without the will and skill to use it properly.
The U.S. government hasn't used the military properly since WW II.

Jokes aside the canadians play/played a big part in the northern shield and first warning systems for ICBM's. Also after a maintenance issues grounded all american F-16's the Canadians guarded american airspace in alaska and the pacific northwest.

Korea, Iraq 1.0, and Libya all were legit uses. Kosovo kind of worked. Afghanistan technically worked, although it took us 10 years to get OBL so in reality it was a poor showing. Iraq 2.0, Vietnam, Panama, the Iranian hostage rescue, and Grenada were not so good.

Get real. Every nation has secrets. Didn't RTFA, but one of Canada's issues is that it owns a metric shiat-ton of more or less unoccupied land and it all happens to be rich in natural resources. Then there's all the maritime territory extending from its borders. Then there's the arctic circle it shares with Russia. Don't pretend that Canada doesn't have concerns just because by sheer luck they wound up placed next to and allied with one of the largest modern militaristic nations on the planet. It sure wasn't like that in 1812, and it may not always be this way.

Where there is NOT a Tim Hortons would be a better secret to sell!
I do NOT drink Coffee or Tea, my family & friends know this..Nothing knew..Been that way for 43 years... Yet I have 5 Tim Hortons gift cards I got for Xmas!
Well they do have some good sandwiches...But I HATE going to the ones closet to work since they're ALWAYS so damn busy!
Been using one whenever a couple of my co-workers are going for coffee - throw them the card, tell em to bring me back a donut & get whatever they want!
/I really could use the other info..I've been trying to de-ice a caribou for 3 days!

Bah Americans are all butt hurt cuz they sat back and did nothing while Canada was in there from the start... They had to have the 'germans' bomb Pearl Harbor before they'd get off their lazy asses..
SO of course they single handly saved the world.. Brits did nothing.. Canadians did nothing, RUSSIANS definitely did nothing..(Did I forget the French? Well the resistance was pretty good!)
USA USA USA!
/Only partly serious.. USA did a HELL of alot in support/money/munitions etc before 1941, but too many younger Americans re-write history, and especially forget what the Russians did..Without them and their HUGE success AND losses, would have been a totally different ballgame!

Trinity is an intelligence facility at the naval dockyard in Halifax. It tracks vessels entering and exiting Canadian waters via satellites, drones and underwater devices. The centre is a multi-national base with access to secret data from NATO countries.
Canadian military jokes aside, this sounds like an awesome place to work.

Interesting. An active duty commissioned officer, whose crime was directly related to his duties and was inherently military in nature, yet he is being prosecuted in the civilian court system of Halifax, and investigated by the RCMP.
I am not well versed in Canadian military law. Are courts martial not available when within Canada for crimes that aren't inherently military-only (i.e., AWOL/desertion, disrespecting a superior officer,
et al.
)?

I Havent been to Halifax in probably 8 or more years, but the harbor is impressive..Saw war ships, huge drilling rigs, etc there... And the of course there is the WWI Halifax explosion when two ships collided, one a munitions ship...

Gus: Canadians are always dreaming up a lotta ways to ruin our lives. The metric system, for the love of God! Celsius! Neil Young!
Gus: ..it was crazy of us to have been so blind for so long, but we just thought, he he he, they're just Canadians! They're practically the 51st state! We admire them...clean streets, no crime, no minorities...
