Well, I never thought there would be a logo could make the Detergent Box swirl with star look good, but here we are.

i kind of like it - so the idea, i'm assuming, is like clark kent pulling back his suit to reveal his superman costume?

You'll get over it.

Meh. I kinda liked the previous one. And the one before that. The logo isn't what gets me to read a book. The story and art, especially if there's a notable lack of Rob Liefeld, is what gets me to pick up a book.

I prefer to think of it as Wonder Woman peeling off her suit to reveal her C-cups.

C-Cups? She's gotta at least be a D. Catwoman's probably a C. (smaller boobies for the more agile character)

Yeah, she's at least a D-Cup in the post-Crisis Era.

I'd say the presence or absence of Rob Liefield should be the first thing that any comics buyer should consider.

Unless you like unnecessary muscles, thousands of teeth, lots of pouches, and creative anatomy in your comic book characters.

Still prefer the bullet logo. The swirl I was getting used to. Why didn't the new logo start with the relaunch?

Then you'll be disappointed by some of DCnU. I was going to actually give Hawk and Dove a chance until I found out Liefeld was the artist. And he's artist on a couple of others too.

I assumed when DC got a new logo, it would just be Dan DiDio giving fans the finger.

Prepare to be disapointed. DC is rewarding Liefeild's failure with Hawk & Dove by putting him on 3 MORE SERIES. I guess Dan DiDio really likes Rob's blowjob technique.

I think this is going to need a more thorough examination:

www.popgunchaos.com

vs.

4.bp.blogspot.com

But really, I think it has more to do with who's drawing each. I mean, sometimes even Power Girl has reasonably sized boobs.

But beyond that, here's "real" life (for comparison's sake of course):

Wait, is this the company that just gave Rob Liefeld control of three books? And has Jim Lee as co-publisher?

Hello, 1990s Image Comics, we wondered what hole you crawled into.

Uh, I don't like it.

To me, it just convey the feeling that the glue is failing, something is peeling off, not something positive.

Oddly enough, 2000s Image is producing some great books.

And even when they don't, well...

/it's only fitting that a comic celebrating Image is only on issue #3 after three years.

Yes, Green Lantern has been fun.

Smug Sinestro dealing with that dumbass Hal Jordan, and both taking turns dealing with the horrible ways in how much they screwed up prior to this "reboot".

The worst thing has been the potential for Sinestro & Hal parting ways after the latest issue.

It is a horrible logo.

As was said up above, it looks like something from the makers of top quality adhesives and office supplies. Nothing about it says "We're a comic book/entertainment company" it says "designed by committee".

And take away the DC Comics or DC Entertainment below the logo, and you don't even know what the hell it is.

The logo is a failure. The tag is appropriate.

That's the beauty of the "reboot" so far... they haven't been afraid of showing what a dumbass Hal has been. It's hard to look at any of the Green Lanterns in the Hal Jordan series (haven't looked at the other GL comics, but I am tempted) and point out who is the hero. The two greatest Lanterns? They're both stupid dumbasses who farked up big time.

Now, Batman is Batman, and the comic is about celebrating the Batman. Green Lantern has been full of dumbassedness on Hal's part, and then revealing the implications of Sinestro's legacy on Korugar? Great stuff. All the Green Lanterns have screwed up... and now the Guardians want to fix it.

Hopefully that next part will work okay, and maybe Sinestro won't totally turn into badguy(tm). He's been a great frienemy for Hal so far.

ftfa, they trademarked in black and white so they can make it in any colors they want and still get IP protection. i would imagine that any actual usage of the mark would be in color.

hamdingers: Sinestro(/Hal) is Dr Doom/Namor now.

The depth of the Sinestro character in the "reboot" has been awesome. Hahaha. Namor, "depth". Ha, a pun I haz made one.

Loved how Sinestro was telling Hal not to be his usual dumbass self when they first got to Korugar, and making fun of Hal's dumbass antics in ruining his relationship with Carol x10,000,brazillion... and then Sinestro was all, "ARSONA?!! WHAR?!"

Sure, Sinestro and Hal must continue to be antagonists, but they've made him at least as screwed-up/interesting as Hal Jordan. I hope Sinestro doesn't just disappear in the next issue. He's more interesting than dumbass Hal at this point.

The Court of Owls thing in Batman has been interesting, but not half as interesting as the Sinestro-Hal odd couple thing.

/Catwoman and Batwoman have been more interesting takes on Gotham than the main Batman comic, IMO. The Catwoman books have kind of said more interesting things about the goddam Batman than the main Batman comics.

I would also assume that it would in the colours of the comic they are on. Black/Blue for Bats, Red/Blue for Supes and so on.It is a bit Sterile as a logo but is crisp I guess. End of the day, the logo is a little thing in the corner of the comic and doesn't affect content.
