Obviously the first two posters own cats.

It's great to have a pet that's not a certified retard like labs are.

As God is my witness, I thought Labs could swim.

2012-01-16 11:46:34 AM
Odd. My lab used to break through the ice to swim.

Cool vid. Glad to see the dog is okay. Sad to hear that barking and wailing though.

Whar is ma duck? WHAR?

Damn, the guy called the EMTs when he heard the dog wailing, which means the dog was in the water for a LONG time, maybe up to a half hour. That's insane. Usually dogs get very nervous and jumpy when they experience trauma, but that poor thing couldn't move a muscle. He must have been frozen to the core.

That wailing is one of the worst sounds I have ever heard.

Note that one of the team added aloud if there were any other footprints around signifying the possibility of another animal or owner that may have fallen in and one under.

Yes, calling the EMTs was the right thing to do lest the question "Has anyone seen old man Wilson? He was out walking his lab down by the crick a few days ago..."

I watched the video, then heard the emt ask that, then thought, "hey, that is a good question, how come I didn't think about that?"

Although I figured it was Timmy.

Glad the little guy's ok.

Our yellow lab is smart but reckless. Most yellow labs seem like envoys from another dimension, a dimension without tennis balls, birds, or oceans, mountains, or lakes. While here they are obsessed with getting in as much fun as possible.

CSB: while hiking in the White Mountains, our group came upon a crystal clear mountain pool. It was cupped in large smooth rock on all sides. The drop to the pool was about five feet and the pool looked like it was about six or seven feet deep. Our magnificent yellow lab was off leash and just as the group realized what he was thinking, we all yelled out "noooooo!" By the time we all yelled it, he was in mid-air, perfect dog-diving form. As he surfaced, bubbles came from his mouth. He scaled the rock back to the top and got ready to do it again when I tackled him. He wagged his tail for the rest of the day and even in his sleep that night.

He is magnificent but a real risk taker. Time for a hug.

I am at the North American Conference in Orlando right now, and am showing this video to a bunch of folks. Great find, subby.

This cat owner, at least, is happy the lab was rescued and is thankful for the privilege of watching EMTs at work.

EMT's what?

2012-01-16 04:18:21 PM
"What was the other call accident?"
"No missing fingers."
"What?"
"Apparently got up from a nap, fingers were gone"
"Really?"
"No."

I like labs, other people's labs. That way they can go home, just like the entertaining but unruly children they are.

My mother and step-father have 6 labs and an akita. They're nice, but Jesus H. Christ, I can't imagine living with them every day.

Dang.
Deprived some starving catfish a meal.
I mean, it's just another inbred, worthless lab.
Like trying to educate a democrat.

Generous of you. That one reminded me of the poseurs on Idol. You know, the ones they put on at the start for the audience to point and laugh at, but are just painful to watch. The really pitiful losers who are so sure they're a shoe-in for the final... and somehow have no idea they can't sing. At all.

Sun Tzu, just... don't. Seriously, if that was at all representative of your trolling, you should just stop now.

Those EMTs must have seemed like GOD to that DOG....

Whoa!

Psst....pass this around....

Aww..poor guy. I have a black lab, and she's the sweetest dog you could ever want. I can't imagine sitting there and watching her struggle in the water like that. I would have to jump in and save her.

Let's go to the tape....

In over it's head, doesn't know how it got there; wailing until it gets attention, and whines until a goverment agency rescues it; gets sympathy for being a victim, and gets off without paying for any of it; instant celebrity because it's now on film.

Yep, it's a democrat.

A bit better. Still a "three-beers needed" showing for karaoke night, but it's better than that "made the special-ed school Christmas concert singers sound dreamy by comparison" effort you gave us earlier. It's still much too obvious, but not quite so pitiful.

Thing is, you've already blown the gaff. You really only have one chance to make a first impression as a troll, and the opportunity is gone. Your only real option is to stay very, very quiet a few months for everyone to forget that dreadful first try of yours; let a few newbies rotate in. Then try again in a fresh thread.

Sun Tzu: Yep, it's a democrat.

Actually, consider starting over with a new account. Thing is, it's really jarring to see the name of a legendary strategist attached to some weenie who trolls that ineffectively. That's going to make this fail of yours hang around your neck for all eternity, like poor Marley's chains.
