I wish they had stuck to American movie posters. The Russian and Japanese ones are ALWAYS going to be misleading.

Also, I wish that this thread were voting enabled.

I thought the Batman and Robin poster was quite accurate. It showed all 30 main characters and came off as a huge mess.

Yo, Batman Forever was wack but Batman & Robin had some solid sets & moments of action. I actually won this Batman boxset at the cubscout luncheon last year. I had never seen these ones before just the New Batmans so I was excited, bro. Anyway, none of them are that great but if I had to rate them it would be:

1. Batman & Robin
2. Batman (kind of cheesey but I like Jack Nicolas as the Joker & the car was phat)
3. Batman Forever (Jim Carey annoyed me)
4. Batman 2 (this one all f'd up with penguins & cats n shiat. I couldn't follow it)

Lets be real, they all kind of suck so I just regifted the set for xmas and gave it to the guy who works the check in desk at Gold's.

That...that is truly beautiful. I expect many, many bites off of this one.

Not a poster, but I remember the trailers for Event Horizon. Made it look like just a straight up sci-fi movie, didn't hint at the horror aspect.

I ended up seeing it in the theaters, and there were all these parents that brought their little kids for some reason. A good chunk of the movie had a steady trickle of horrified parents dragging their screaming spawn out of the theater.

I almost chose not to read this text in a recent children's literature course because of the advertisements for the movie. Glad I did, but I am mad with the producers.

There is no such thing as a dog movie you should see a few days after putting your own dog to sleep. When I lost my boxer last February I would have been in tears during "Air Bud."

I'm sorry but I have to call "let the buyer beware" on that one. Whenever there's a dog on the poster, I'm just going to assume that it dies at the end. That's why I never saw I Am Legend.

Never saw the movie, but absolutely. Its not trolling, its having the guts to not be 100% completely predictable.

I rarely watch summer blockbuster action flicks, but I assume if any of the characters are A-list stars, they're not dying. And if they are, which is very rare, it'll be in the last scene.

I had a similar situation when I went to see Ang Lee's Hulk movie (the best Hulk movie - IMHO). The parents were obviously expecting some fun-filled campy romp, and instead got this intense movie about physical and emotional abuse haunting Bruce Banner. The opening credits start rolling, animals are being vivisected... the first wave of parents stand up and hurry their small children out of the theater. Then at like 15 minute intervals more horrified parents would hit their limit and take their small children out of the theater in waves. I think all the parents had pretty much shuffled their kids out of the theater by the time the scene towards the end with the knife getting plunged into someone's chest happened.

Of course the dog dies (in a stupid way). But the real tragedy of that movie is the death of the original story line.......nay the original movie itself before they went back and edited out all the crap that actually made sense and special effects and changed it into a farking travesty with CGI icing that they fed to the movie go-ers. Instead of a semi-intelligent race of vampires with a chief essentially screaming "biatch I want my wife back!" (I love the "dont ever do that again you dick" scream at the end too) We get the typical hollywood drek that seems almost required for them to produce. Vincent prices performance was the closest to the original material but my favorite version was from an old heavy metal mag that had the last man locked in the vampires prison for life alone while the world wailed around him and THEN he realizes that, oh yea, he's what keeps them all up at night. When the world is nothing but Draculas then Van Helsing becomes the villian.

Of all the imagery, this is the most brutal and difficult things to watch in that movie. Hell, it's harder to watch than a lot of the scenes in the Saw series.
