All right, explode the bush there, Koko.

The inmate threw the bush over the fence some grenades.

2012-01-16 12:10:16 PM
I was hoping it would scatter tiny people around the area, who would immediately start rioting.

You should ask their boss if it is ok for them to take off their shirt

That situation could have turned out much worse, now ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty!

Trying to read that headline may have been less non-lethal than the grenade.

Should know a thing or two about grenades...

I'm not buying the 'pin caught on limb' story.

None had serial numbers or markings and no packaging material that could help identify their source was found.

So in other words, the local police, who very likely would be the only people around to own such material, have no clue where it could have come from?

Its not like officer joe-bob uses them for "fishing" in the lake or anything.

I was writing to say that your comment rules.

In addition; the pin definitely got caught on the inmate's branch-like finger

Interesting how there's no serial numbers or identifying marks... does that mean the bad guys had this or the cops are just that flat out incompetent.

/I know, I know, cops are dummer'n dirt.

An unmarked grenade.

So you pulled the pin on the object which is clearly a grenade, but have no idea what it's actually gonna DO when you throw it. Will it merely make a flash? Throw out pepper spray? Smoke? Do nothing (inert practice grenade)? Or just create a 5M radius of lethality and a 15M casualty radius?

The seconds of anticipation. It's like waiting for Christmas!

Probably sold to the Mexican drug cartels by the BATF.

Nah, the BATF sold them the real deal, not these pansy things.

mexican bathtub cheese: Stingball Grenades (p)

Ya know, when they say in the video that the "stingball" grenades are meant to immobilize the target, they really don't seem to...

They go off and you see prisoners running everywhere away from them, but no true 'immobilization'.

THIS.

Every Law enforcement agency within 100 miles that stocks these needs to conduct an immediate inventory... and if there are discrepancies, be forbidden to carry so much as billyclub until they take measures to ensure they don't endanger the public.

Maybe better to say it takes the fight out of the target.

There are three parts, a flashbang charge, for lots of noise and flash and a concussive effect, the rubber balls which hurt like hell, and a bunch of OC powder which is aerosolized from the flashbang. So Stingball grenade takes out your sight and hearing for a few minutes, spanks you with the rubber balls and makes breathing a chore with the OC.

So maybe you aren't immobilized, but you aren't much for fighting either.

/ they seem to float, so I don't think they are much good for fishing. Maybe a regular flashbang would be better.

It's imperative that I now learn to create a superball grenade. Perhaps I will fashion the casing out of Silly Putty and stuff the interstices with Pop Rocks.

Hopefully it didn't break their cadence
