Is it going to be a problem when those closely packed stalks start smacking into each other?
I also worry about the "people can walk around in here like it's a park" idea. Poor people are going to vandalize that shiat and break all those expensive stalks.

They're 12" wide at the base and made of carbon fibre in order to withstand the bending stress. Good luck vandalizing that.

You must've some how skipped being a teenager. If there's a way to break or damage those things, I guarantee you a couple of bored 16 year olds will find it.

instead of funneling rain water into green areas, would it be efficient to direct the water to a drainage pit where it falls onto a turbine?

Came here for this.

If this gets built, I'm showing up there wearing coveralls, carrying a bindle and singing this song.

The film in question is called "An Itch in Time." It was directed by Bob Clampett and released in 1943.

I think this is farking awesome.

I had a similar reaction when I first saw the circular scroll wheel on the 1G iPod:

"Extremely simple + virtually no moving parts + it works (theory in this case, but I'd bet on it) = jizz in my pants"

Make More Hinjews = excited.

interesting. this model would work no matter which way the wind blows. my question is what would keep these things from smacking into each other?

2012-01-16 12:09:40 PM
My guess would be they don't hit each other because of spacing, or their design makes it not matter if they do.

/Nice design and concept, see if it takes off.
