I'd like it, if only because it would irritate the east coast TV guys, and force them to talk about teams out of their comfort zone.

They don't want it because it's the least inferring story to write copy for. What will happen if that is the Super Bowl is they'll focus on Harbaugh and try and make he Rex Ryan like 'larger than life' personality and they'll play up the 2005 QB draft storyline of Smith & Rodgers and how both could have rings in consecutive years.
Not terrible copy but when you consider the other options are
Brady vs Rodgers This generations best vs next generations best
Or Pats vs Giants rematch. Is Eli elite, etc.
They're just more compelling stories than Texans vs 49ers


49ers vs. Ravens would be epic though, the Super HarBowl.

The thing about that commercial is that the dude mentions his cute neighbor Sarah. But he's at a bar, drinking alone (or with one buddy) and doing nothing but biatching and complaining about the world. My takeaway from that commercial is not an uplifting one. What they're not showing you is how he goes home after drinking and cries while masturbating into a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon that he stole from her mailbox, then goes to sleep.
