If it's going to be in the kitchen, one should install a sweet ass-synthesizer.

All you have to do for that is record a bunch of fart sounds onto a programmable keyboard and viola!

Impressed by the electrical knowledge. Not too shabby.

At first I thought it was just some bowls and was all meh. But then

If striking the cans of Pam with a spoon sounded notes, I wonder what spraying them sound like?

Well played, gentlemen. Of course, John Cage was thirty years ahead of you:

hmm. seems a bit fake to me. bunch of random soldering, no details about how anything is actually hooked up other than using "static electricity". touching the lid of a pan in a different place just happens to change the note to another melodic value that fits the song.. HMM. epic use of duct tape, bros.

Yeah....
There's no way this is real. There is ZERO reason to be soldering in A/V components, and ceramic bowls don't work that way (as in being used as a 2-D analog pad).

farking piezoelectrics, how do they work?
like this
(new window)
Actually if he's running the signal through and amp and effects (which is easy) as opposed to turning it into a MIDI signal (which would be a bit difficult) Then yes, I guess you might be able to call it a synthesizer.
But no, It's not fake.

Maybe a mix of capacitive proximity sensors and piezoelectrics.

completely fake - the first thing he is "soldering" wires to is a two track DAT machine.
