Yeah, that's not going to convince anyone, but good try.

no no, he does. But Tebow was obviously the false prophet and Brady was the real son of (football) god

This just in: Disney was NOT involved in a conspiracy with the NFL to get Tebow to the Super Bowl. :-/

But in all honesty, I agree with a certain other Farker's sentiment that this loss will be taken advantage of by Tim and he will learn from it, as most inexperienced players are urged to do. He'll slowly get better, and over the course of the season he's proven he's at worst the short-term solution for the Denver Broncos QB situation.

I think you're right on balance, but Tebow and Denver will have to change their game plan 100%. I've said all along, as soon as a defense figures out the option style of play, Denver/Tebow will get stopped cold. Tonight proved that out, imo.

Which is rather encouraging. I will freely admit it sure as fark sounded like one, but I'm not going to be mad that it won't end up as one. Or maybe it will and Disney will change the ending.

Grand_Moff_Joseph: I've said all along, as soon as a defense figures out the option style of play, Denver/Tebow will get stopped cold

Ditto, it just didn't look like anyone would figure it out this year. I guess the two weeks, plus seeing Tebow earlier in the year, gave the Pats everything they needed. Next year the Broncos will be terrible if they keep the zone read.

2012-01-14 11:39:51 PM
But on a religious note Jesus told his followers to go to there rooms and close the door before they pray and some translations even use the words 'pray in a closet'. Also he stated "Do not do as the hypocrites do and pray on the street corner and in the synagogues to be seen by the public..." I actually think that Tebow is doing a disservice to Christianity even if he is initiating public dialogue.

You can bet money on the fact that every defensive coordinator is going to sit their defense down this off-season and watch tape of this game about 100 times.

He does, but Belichick outcoached God.

I think Jesus watched that horrifying farking Focus on the Family commercial and said "fark these people. They don't speak for me. They've totally twisted everything I said, so I'm going to embarrass them."

But more likely, a deity that can effect the outcome of a game that millionaires play for fun, but allows children to starve to death is too much of a cocksucker for ANYONE to worship.

Clearly there is no God...

2012-01-14 11:42:02 PM
BTW, is it just me, or did I hear some obvious "Tebow" chants from the Pats' fans? Obviously, they were negative in tone, but I could have heard incorrectly.

Either way, he generated a level of fan heat that would make John Cena and Vickie Guerrero proud.

Well, every coordinator who is going to play the Broncos this year. So, AFC West, AFC North, NFC South, Houston and New England. Well, NE won't need help, but the rest will study it very closely.

True story:

I didn't hear the commercial, because the bar was loud, but I saw the "Focus on the Family" logo, and by this point I was a few beers in, and I yelled out "fark YOU!! FOCUS ON YOUR OWN FAMILY YOU COCKS!"

I didn't even *think* it was just a visceral reaction to seeing a fng hate group on national television.

My friends were a little embarrassed, but a lot of people cheered.

It was kind of funny, the game thread went all to hell after that and turned into a politics thread until the mods stepped in.

They probably cheered because they heard you yell "cocks" in a bar.

The Broncos made it further than anyone thought they would. Good show all around.

The future problem that Tebow faces is how Americans love to tear down our celebs. And Tebow will have it really rough, because even if he does something normal like have sex with a hottie, people will crucify him.

I hope Tebow is back next year and the Broncos are better as a team all around. They sucked tonight. Tebow can't do it by himself. The Broncos also need to be developing another QB.

True. Though, it would be good for all teams to study it, in case someone else decides that mixing in the college style option play is a good idea.

Yeah, but there aren't many teams that can pull it off right now, though I have to say I'd love a zone read to return to the NFL. I'm a Big 10 guy, I love a big running game and multiple TE sets. Those obviously aren't zone read sets, but I wish the NFL had more rushing teams.

But who could pull one off right now? Vick and Newton obviously. Can't remember who else was a running QB though.

It was more a 'knock it off, this is football not politics' and it died off fairly quickly. I did get a deletion later on since I answered a question someone asked about the ad and hadn't seen it, and obviously that had to get deleted.

If the Vikings keep Joe Webb around, you have him + AP + Shiancoe. All you'd need is a decent WR, which I think could be more easily found in FA/drafting than a QB. Only other running QB that's coming to mind at the moment.

I'm just thinking here, Vick and McCoy in a read could be nasty as fark with Jackson and Celek. That's...actually unpleasant to consider. And VY could actually act as a backup there without any trouble.

Thank God Andy Reid is still there. Any intelligent coach might look into this.

cameroncrazy1984: Anyone else find it funny that both Breesus and Tebus got beat tonight?

I do. Schadenfreude is die schönste freude.

I've been saying all along, this God character sounds like a dick. I mean, instead of using his awesome power for things like healing amputees and stopping earthquakes, he's been doing crap like pointing Rosie in Terre Haute to her car keys and rigging football games for Tim Tebow of all people.

But now, it turns out, he's a real dick - after spending an entire season convincing Tebow that those superpowers are on his side, he absolutely and totally farks him in the post-season.
