What the fark. That is insane.

I used to drive the "K" model all the time. It was super easy to drive. It was even easier to back into loading bays than regular trucks. I fell in love with the "K" model. Literally. That's why they fired me. They don't like their employees humping the "equipment".

It can be, but mostly they are on the outback roads, very little traffic and flat straight roads. We have warning signs about overtaking road trains because you really never know how long one of them is until you start to overtake. We have B-doubles in Sydney and man they fly along at 120km/h on the freeways and all you can see in your rear view mirror is the grill!

Going to work one day I was overtaking a B-double and got about half way along when he started to overtake another B-double. Even though it was a motorway ( two lanes ) I got pushed onto the verge and had to overtake BOTH of them to get out of the way. That was one hairy M4 morning I can tell you....

500 sheep can be crammed into a pretty small area.
Poor things. They probably were destined for a trip on a ship on which they would have been even more crammed in, headed for the middle east. At the end of their miserable journey, they would have been slaughtered in some ritualistic way (just killed brutally).
But, whatcha gonna do? that's the way things are. I eat things that most likely suffered.

I drove around Australia a few years ago in a 20 year old Mitsubishi L300 4x4 people carrier with a 1.6 litre engine. We'd regularly get overtaken by one of those things in the NT on stretches of road with no speed limit and where our little van could only manage 100km/h. It's damn scary to see one coming up in your rear view mirror, then watch as trailer-after-trailer-after-trailer goes past you.

On a more positive note, my wife travelled round Australia a few years before we met and had broken down in the arse end of nowhere. A road train driver stopped to help her, even though it took him about a mile to stop and then walk back to see if she was OK.

But, whatcha gonna do? that's the way things are. I eat things that most likely suffered.

You have to pack sheep or goats into a truck for shipping. Leave them room to move around too much and they'll panic and kill themselves during the trip.

This makes it important to let them out of a vehicle if if crashes, or sometimes breaks down and has to stop so the air stops moving through.
