In yet another sign that the Mayans were onto something, it's possible that there will be more Twilight films made after Breaking Dawn Part 2 is released, or even a Twilight TV series

Asked whether the franchise would continue in some form for Lions Gate, he added, "It's hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn't have ongoing value. It's an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration. So the simple answer is 'Boy I hope so.'"

Translation: I'm gonna do this until the money dries up, no matter how stupid and hated it is, then leave anyone and everyone involved in a burlap sack in the river. (paraphrased)

I believe the appropriate response is "No shiat, Sherlock."
As much as I detest it, it's making cash hand over fist. And, since it's making money despite the abysmal writing, they know they don't have to worry about crappy writing in the coming iterations. The fans will still eat it up and pay for the privelege.

It's just a matter of taking the scripts for the Twilight knock-off on CW and changing the names.
There's already sooo much of TV I don't watch. I wish we could do ala carte or more sub packaging, so I didn't inadvertently send TV dollars to farking shiat.

Keep them coming. I want more RiffTrax material, and this series has been a gold mine.

I have to agree with you there. The whole thing is worth it for the Rifftrax.

I'm sure Mr. Feltheimerbergersteinbugeinwitz doesn't care but aren't there logistical problems in having a long running series comprised of characters who don't age starring actors who do?

It's okay The Hunger Games are coming soon. So instead of a poor girl having to decide between the hot guy who drinks blood vs the hot guy who turns into a dog, a poor girl will have to decide between the hot guy who bakes vs the hot guy who hunts. Why is life so unfair?

Except that the Hunger Games books are actually written well, I can see your point.

A lot of fans don't even want this. They see what a ridiculous idea it is.

Hey hey hey, let's not get carried away. Probably not near as bad as twilight, but they're not exactly that great themselves.

Oh, I don't know... I just watched New Moon for the first time (with RiffTrax of course), and man. That was terrible. Twilight was a hundred times better. There was no antagonist in New Moon! I spent a few moments screaming with rage during the credits.
The RiffTrax were pretty funny, but I don't know if it was worth it. I kept expecting there to be some actual action in the second half. And the music was terrible.

I've been thinking for a while that Twilight would have worked better as a TV miniseries. The movies are just so bizarre and melodramatic...they don't gel properly or something. I like going to see them because I like hype and the energy of the audience and having an opinion about the whole thing, but I always get a weird feeling that they don't count as movies. Just long TV episodes of a very small but very long season.

Well, I didn't say they were great books, but they ARE good, and readable...and RE-readable. Kinds like the Percy Jackson books, which I also enjoy quite a bit.

You're right. Kinda jumped on ya there. I burned through all 3 in about a week. It was like I couldn't help myself even though I kept thinking "these could have been so good!" There were parts that just felt so rushed and forced and just not that well done. Of course, I read that it was never meant to be a trilogy so I am sure that's why.

Can you sum them up? Hunger Games I mean...
I saw the trailer and want it to be Battle Royale. Am I setting myself up for severe disappointment?

The Long Walk / The Running Man with a young female lead. If you don't think too hard, it's a pretty entertaining read and I can't imagine them farking up the movie, since it nearly read like a script.
