F-ing hell, for once I'm up for the early game here on the west coast and there is no early game which pretty much guarantees I'll sleep thru the 7 am games. fark it, I'm setting the dvr and going to bed.

I would just like to express my sadness about Gibson leaving United. Not because he was or will be good enough, but because there are no Irish players left. From what I can figure out here ^ this is the first time since 1936 that United have no Irish players in the first team squad. I feel slightly disconnected. I'll get over it.

The funny thing is, he's actually Northern Irish.

/500k is a bargain. He has scored in Champions League quarter finals and semi finals. In different years.
//Seriously, can we go 4-0 up on Bolton and give Pogba 10 minutes? Please?

2012-01-14 08:23:45 AM
Aston Villa v Everton - Both teams a having trouble scoreing so i say 0-0

Blackburn v Fulham - Blackburn are in trouble with there best players looking to leave. 0-2

Chelsea v Sunderland - O'Neil's boys did a job on City and as long as the ref isn't biased to Chealski (as he often is) then it will be a hard game 1-1

Liverpool v Stoke - 'pool are very weak at home and i see Stoke doing a smash and grab 0-1

Man Utd v Bolton - Bolton were a bogey team but are s shell of the former team and Utd are on a high. 3-1

Tottenham v Wolves - With no injuries spurs arre flying high and Wolves are underperforming 3-0

West Brom v Norwich - Norwich have only failed to score once all season 1-2

3 points away from the top of the table. Somehow, I don't see Wigan beating Man City, but stranger things have happened...

I'd obviously love to see Liverpool win today, but Stoke are a tough draw away from home recently. I'll take a draw, but I won't like it.

I think Sunderland can get one on Chelsea, and I think Villa can down Everton.

2012-01-14 09:22:21 AM
Why is Wigan still in the top flight?

No, no, no. We've exceeded our allotted draws that should be wins for the year. Has to be a win today.

rjakobi: Why is Wigan still in the top flight?

Because West Ham United and Birmingham City were really, really bad last season. (Can't say anything bad about Blackpool- I enjoyed seeing the Tangerines in the league.)

Jamie Carra getting a start? As a holding mid? Oh boy, I am nervous.

I hope so.

Reina
Johnson
Coates
Skrtel
Enrique
Carragher
Adam
Henderson
Downing
Gerrard
Kuyt

Not so sure abut Carra and Coates, but this looks a prey solid team.

£80,000 a week, for Cahill. Not even Tim Cahill.

With Tim Ream and Henry gone NY redbulls are fooked.

Isn't Henry just on loan?

FRANK LAMPARD opens the scoring, gets a deflection in from Torres' scissor kick attempt.

Torres...that was awesome. (yup, I've giving the refit where it's due)

/I still hate you

By refit I surely meant credit.

BLACKBURN RED CARD

The Yak sent off for dangerous play. There's a loss for Kean.

The Yak got sent off for a high boot, and Petrovic is down with an injury and had to get subbed. Fulham looking in control, but can't convert.

Gotta be happy with an American going to the prem, if only for a moment. NYRB fans: gotta take one for the (national) team..

If the grass had been planed in a different direction that would have been a goal for Bendtner.

PAUL SCHOLES scores for United at the stroke of halftime.

What's with all these old players scoring recently?

Surman scores for Norwich. Just thought I'd make note of a rare goal today.

2012-01-14 10:46:55 AM
Too bad Bendtner was a wantaway this year. He's not as good as he thinks he is, but he's been a better finisher than Arshavin

2012-01-14 10:47:09 AM
Hey, we have a goal! Norwich makes three for the EPL today. Gotta hope to see more action in the second half.

They've corrected themselves. No more OG on that one.

Everyone waited until the 44th minute to start scoring. Blackburn goes up 1 playing down 1.

Bogdan wasn't near that shot before it was in the net.

MORTEN GAMST PEDERSON makes it 5 for the Weekend
