This happened across the street from my house. I can see the plant from my front yard.

I also could see the accident, because I was walking to the convenience store for smokes when the police and fire department were swarming the area. There's a store directly across the street from the plant (on the corner) and it was absolutely packed with EMTs, cops, and firefighters, not to mention a couple journalists and road crews.

I asked one of the police officers what happened, he said it looks like the guy came out of Lilac street really, really fast. (It's a four way intersection, Main street down the middle, and Lilac, a small side road connecting to my street, on one side and the plant entrance on the other. The guy had to be going about triple the speed limit for Lilac street to be wedged under the truck like that.

The cop also said the guy looked like hamburger and he couldn't believe the guy was alive. No one there, EMT, cop, or firefighter, expects the guy to pull through.

Anyways, wooo, finally a Fark story from my hometown.

I got a bit of a jolt when I read this, as there has been a bit of a surge in the accident rate around my home. That's why the Fizz are patrolling more, I guess.
