Should any government be so concerned as to further burden itself with legal fees and processes to deliver idiots to "justice" that seem bent on taking themselves out of the gene pool?

Ya just gotta be careful what you Ram your pickup into when racing in the wild Frontier.
While it was Built Ford Tough, the snowmobiler found it was Like A Rock...now he's one with the Tundra.
While it's sad that he died, at least he didn't lie in Tacoma-tose state.

/some of you Farkers will wish I would jump off a Colorado Canyon...but I don't want to anger you, Sonoma pickup jokes from me.

King Something: Snowmobiles are for sissies!

High end snowmobiles are obscenely quick. They're basically superbikes with a massive contact patch.

I have little use for the Nanny State, but I, for one, would like to be able to walk down a snowy road with as little chance as possible of meeting three morans having a race. Throw the farking book at them -- and a heavy book at that.

A snowmobiler, an ATV rider and a pickup driver ran into a bar.

*boom*

The end.

I'm trying to figure out how the pickup truck driver caused the death of the snowmobile driver. Apparently, it is not like they just drove in straight parallel lines and the snowmobile hit a branch or something. Think about it - what must have the pickup truck driver done to get charged like this?

The pickup, of course. Hammond gets the ATV, since it is somewhat like a motorcycle. So either May was too slow or they need a new Stig again...

You, my friend, have obviously never been to Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont during the winter months.

This. Assuming nobody intentionally ran over the decesed, risk taking is it's
own reward

Bennie Crabtree: Think about it - what must have the pickup truck driver done to get charged like this?

In the UK if you're involved in something criminal and somebody dies as a result then you can be held liable even if you weren't directly involved. E.g. hold up a bank and your partner shoots somebody, you're charged with murder too.

Don't know about the law in Canada but its legal system is based on the UK system.

But anyway, if the pickup driver was driving dangerously (which is illegal) by racing and the snowmobiler crashed into him then he'd be liable for causing death by dangerous driving, I'd have thought.

This is unfair. The dead guy should be charged, too!

This was definitely a "Here, hold my beer!" moment.

To the best of my knowledge we don't have a similar law here if the death was simply caused by a crash (ie driver lost control and crashed all on his own) then there shouldn't be any criminal charges if one of the other drivers hit him then it's manslaughter.

This reminds me of when I raced my Cessna against some guy on a dirtbike through a canyon. The race was poorly defined and illogical, but I did an assload of cool flips while listening to some screaming rock tunes on my walkman. After I won I found out my dad was being held hostage by some low rent Khadaffi lookalike. Those were dark days my friends. The government offered no help, but fortunately my dad's old buddy, Chappie, never gave up hope.

I already thought about it and decided that these people (collectively) willingly help themselves to tragedy. But I repeat myself.

Up in North Bay, ON? I wonder if they were lake racin'. Lot of Indian Reserve land up there... plenty of places to go through a hole in the ice. Or hit a tree.

I understand the Ranger that was first on the scene was unavailable for comment....
