According to Google, it is Steelhead that brews Hopasaurus Rex. As much as it looks dickish, if they have a trademark or patent, they need to enforce it or they will lose it. And if they are doing anything according to the letter of the law (such as trademark protection) they should have a lawyer involved to make sure they dotted the i's and crossed the t's.

/I suspect Steelhead has its eyes on expansion and doesn't want confusion if/when they make it into Texas if they're not there already.

True, but you don't need your lawyer to send it. I have a couple trademarks I protect with friendly letters. Every one I've sent it to has ceased and desisted (so far).

D: Torn, as this isn't the world's greatest DIPA, but it is dang drinkable. Almost too much so, in fact. The first night I drank this beer, I had three pints (at 9.5%) and really don't remember much of the evening. This is all about the hops, from smell though the finish. And it doesn't disappoint. But I would like to see a little more carbonation and lighter mouthfeel with this beer.
