Let me get this straight... he's a lawyer and politician who cheated on his terminally ill wife... and he has a heart?

No he never had a heart. What is in him is a shriveled black husk and finally the husk has threatened to stop beating.

It's probably heartburn or some shiat.

Fark his cold black heart. The most farked up thing about this guy's anatomy disorders, is that the man thinks with his penis!

Newt Gingrich: Divorced cancer-stricken wife, married twice

John Edwards: Cheated on cancer stricken wife, fathered illegitimate child

Luckily, Edwards has a chance of going to prison for campaign finance fraud. Sadly, Newt will wallow in corruption money and come out of this richer than before.

Someone close to my family died of ALS so I know what it does. All joking aside, I think it is repulsive to wish it on anyone. Yea, I know this the internet and your anger does not hurt me, but it makes you worse.

my first reaction was "I didn't know "two sizes too small" was an actual, treatable medical condition. then I was curious as to what life-threatening heart conditions can wait a month to be fixed.

The doctor gives Edwards just twenty years to live.

Thirty tops.

Probably prolapse, SVT or some other common condition.

How does it happen that when powerful politicians finally get to court they always conveniently develop some debilitating medical condition? Seems to happen most commonly with deposed dictators.

Not to defend what John Edwards did, but only who he is:

The accounts I've read say he was really a decent man until he got famous and popular. Sincerely treated people with respect, devoted to his wife, etc. But he let his popularity go to his head, and did something bad. Unfortunately, the way things have shaped up, it looks like the bad is going to be all he's remembered for by most people.

Meh, so he needs a pacemaker and that means he can't bear the rigors of a trial? Dick Cheney had one of those puppies back in 2003 and he's been able to maintain a healthy undead lifestyle for close to ten years.

Life is long and people are complicated is all I'm saying. With say, Clinton and Gingrich, there was an ongoing pathology. Edwards screwed up colossally. The difference being that with Clinton/Gingrich types, misconduct was in character. For Edwards, it was out of character.

People will remember you more for the terrible things you did rather than the good things especially if you're in the news and especially if you leave your wife who is dying of cancer.

Also when will there be a green about Colbert running in SC? I'm far more interested and entertained by that than anything this douchenozzle will ever do,besides not living.

His dying wife was not his Self
An oath of office would of spread his syph
Yon be the lib. What if? What if?

Just imagine if he had won the presidency and this crap was breaking now. It would be worse than Watergate Nixon, could and did, blame the plumbers and its not like he actually planted the bugs himself. Edwards personally got involved in his slime up to his eyeballs. The wife he was cheating on is also the smart one in the relationship. He literally owed everything he had to her. Cheating on her was slimy but his real crimes are far worse than that.

I honestly don't understand how you could be with someone that long and in their most desperate time of need abandon them. Then again I'm not sociopath.

Well that was vague and an attempt to garner some kind of sympathy. Sounded as though the whole thing had been written by his publicist. What kind of "surgery" and how "life threatening"?

He's a douche and someone that makes even lawyers as a group look bad (OK, worse than they usually do), but for all that I wish him luck with his operation, for the success stats of the hospital if nothing else.

Funny how petty small-minded right-wingers obsess over John Edwards.

Seriously, the rest of us don't give a fark.
