Well, to be fair, he's probably faster because he doesn't have the added weight of all those pesky legs to drag through the water.

The boy is obviously cheating. I mean, no legs and one arms gives him an unfair advantage. Not only is he lighter (and thus easier to propel through the water), but he is more aerodynamic! So yeah, this cheater should not be lauded. He should be condemned.

:-D

instead of bob today you are more likely to find a little kid named brook, river, pond, stream, creek, or water. yeah water. i had a neighbor who named their kid water because i shiate you not 'water is important to all of us' or something like that.

Good for that kid.

Really bad for the kids he beats in competition.

The coach of the losers must go farking ballistic when they lose to the kid with one third the propulsion capability.

It's all about streamlining. I took swimming for a gym class one semester and it would annoy the hell out me that the only person who could beat me was a mere wisp of a girl. She was built like an eel.

Now why didn't TFA explain exactly how the boy swims? This is probably the question most readers would have.

Should've linked the episode where the dad was a competitive lifeguard (thanks to robotic legs), and especially the scene where he rescues the bimbo (sans robotic legs).
