Until someone catches him coming out of a gay bar or going to a strip club.

No one has said he isn't a good guy.

He's just not a good quarterback, and being a good guy should not get you picked in the first round of the draft and starting in the NFL.

The Pats are favored by 14 or something this weekend. I predict they will cover the spread with ease.

Yeah, I don't get he hate either. His religion doesn't affect me, and he's made some excitement from what would otherwise been pretty droll games.

Is it too much to ask that God smite both Tebow and Brady at the same time? I mean, now's his best chance.

Rick Reilly is one of a handful of people I'm not sure I could resist punching in the face if I saw walking down the street.

Oddly, this exclusive group is comprised mostly of sportswriters.

I think a brake failure, leading to a team bus collision in the parking lot, resulting in a fireball and smoking crater, ought to about cover it.

Fark you, pal. He was ranked by most prognosticators as a 2nd round draft pick, possibly as #41 by Buffalo, which is where he was placed by at least two mock drafts. The L.A. Times had him placed at pick # 69 for the Raiders. No one expected him to go in the first round at pick # 25.

So in sports, just like in politics, you don't know what the farking hell you are talking about, dumb ass.

I'm starting to miss Favre. At least when he was the belle of the ball, I wasn't seeing thouands of articles and posts daily about how Favre represented the fate of humanity, the epic struggle of good and evil, why Christianity is real, etc. I don't even hate Tebow. It's all these farking bandwagoners that won't shut the hell up and turn everything into a "we're fighting back against da ebil" cause.

No one has said he isn't a good guy.

Its his endless prosthelytizing.

I can look beyond a single, quick shoutout to "God" after a game. Or the silly pointing to the sky.

But when he starts every press conference with "I'd like to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ." And when EVERY single question has an answer that somehow has to do with God.

Fark- he thanked God for allowing him to be on the Broncos. But God doesn't get a pick in the draft.

I don't know how he starts every press conference, but I've seen him answer a lot of post-game questions and I have never heard him start an answer to the question with something about God. He is not trying to convert people. He isn't trying to force God on everyone. He is very humble, talks about the team and its goals.

He's just a shiatty quarterback who shouldn't be a starter in the NFL or a first round draft pick.

Well, since I haven't seen every postgame, I shouldn't have said every.

I know the "lord and savior jesus christ" comes up all the time.

And his postgame presser after last week's win was a friggin sermon.

I just catch the highlights on ESPN, so I'm sure I missed some of his utterances.

I think you are projecting. Maybe an anger management class and then penile enhancement surgery will make you no longer feel so threatened when someone merely corrects your wrong positions.

No way. They barely covered 14 last time(Covered 14 by 4 on a TD with 4:10 to go). With the Patriots D being so bad taking them to cover is always risky.

In the playoffs, take the points when they're large.

It's not Tebow that's the problem. He seems like a pretty decent human being, if not a very good quarterback. It's his fellow Christians that worry me. They seem to regard his success as a vindication of their bigoted, fundie viciousness.

I think there's a chance the Broncos can win tomorrow. Not a great one, but a non-zero one the Patriots totally fark up, combined with underestimating Tebow, plus the high the Broncos are riding on from last week.

Everyone dismissing the Broncos so quickly is wrong.

I was coming home from LA once and happened to poop in the stall next to Tebow. We didn't hook pinky fingers or anything, so it isn't official, but I've been calling myself Tim's poop buddy for a while now.

I remember the last three games of the regular season. Unless the Broncos are playing against a beat-up, injured team with key players missing or hobbled, they are eminently beatable.

You could go back and look at their wins since Tebow took over and they either came against truly crappy teams, were the recipient of ridiculous luck/stupid play by the opponent (Marion Barber for example,) or were playing against a team barely held together with medical adhesive tape.

Hell, the over/under for Tebow completions against New England is 11. He just is not a good quarterback. What he is is a nice guy, a humble guy, and a leader. That's nice, but it isn't enough.

So says everyone, every week. Take a look at the first quarter before McGahee got hurt and the second quarter fumble-a-thon. If the Broncos get ahead early they'll win this game.

Yeah, 9-6 in the NFL, including an 8-4 mark this season. Completely terrible.

I'm a completely non-religious man who absolutely thinks Tim Tebow is a really, really amazing guy. Parents are still the far-and-away #1 best role models, or should be, but if I had a kid who was an athlete I'd want him or her to be like Tebow.

Maybe I wouldn't want him or her to believe the same stuff but walkin' the walk? Damn right.

I hope he beats the Patriots with every cell composing my entirety.

Fun fact: Only one QB has won both the Heisman and made the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

And Staubach won his trophy with a losing record at Navy (IIRC).

Tebow will be remembered for being an Andre Ware or Ty Detmer, with a decent season before his plateau is realized.

Nothing like realizing they're still paying Rick Reilly (a whole lot of) money to keep churning out his brand of tripe to make you hope the Mayans were right. At least Peter King is under the delusion he's a sportswriter - Reilly is like Simmons after massive brain damage.

This.

Seriously, the people who are upset about his religious side are people who question their own spirituality and just say INVISIBLE MAN IN THE SKY EL OH EL to make themselves feel better.

Plenty of athletes use religion. Tebow is more visible about it, but people who think Tebowing is a new concept obviously have no idea who the fark Mark Bavaro is.

As for his thoughts on abortion: He's not a lawmaker AND HIS OWN LIFE WAS SAVED because his mother refused an abortion on religious grounds. For everyone who says "hands off my body", well, here's the one case where you can say, well, he had a say in the matter too.

The best part of "he's a shiatty quarterback" comments is that these people are so blind, they can't actually see that he's improved as he became a starter. So he isn't gonna get any better in the next few seasons as he gets more comfortable as an NFL player? It's always about how they're gonna figure him out. So all these defensive players are going to improve, but somehow Tebow won't. Too farkin funny.

Who the FARK said anything about Hall of Fame? Why even bring Canton up, that's not even in the conversation.

And Tebow is not a pro QB, but he will become a crushing RB or TE down the road.

So shhhhh about this "plateau realized" crap.
