BROWNSVILLE - Customs officers in Pharr found a marijuana load valued at $3.2 million mixed in with a trailer load of jalapeños coming in from Mexico, Customs and Border Protection said Thursday.

The seizure occurred Tuesday at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge. Officers conducting a secondary inspection on a tractor-trailer found 352 bundles of what appeared to be marijuana. The bundles had a total weight of 3,163 pounds.

No arrests were reported. CBP officers seized the marijuana and the tractor-trailer.

So that's roughly $1,000/lb pot. Must be some good stuff.

So how do you smuggle over 1.5 tons of pot, and no arrest was made? Yet if you try to buy a fraction of a gram, you're tossed in jail and the keys thrown away

You don't understand drug enforcement.

If there were 50 pounds seized by the border task force, and that task force consisted of members from ten agencies (including DEA, notorious for this sh*t), then amazingly, all ten claim "50 pounds seized." That 50 pounds gets aggregated in quarterly and annual reports as "agency A--50 pounds, Agency B--50 pounds... for a total of 500 pounds.

They probably found half a roach in the driver's ashtray.

I doubt they actually throw away the key... i mean they would have to open the door eventually and buying new keys all the time would get exspensive...

Still a bit off topic but what in the fark do people see in some fat ass trying to get as much in his mouth at one time or eating something so blazing hot that his asshole is nothing but a charred tube?

Haven't smoked weed since the 70s. Was around 20 bucks bag back then. What's it going for these days?

Maybe at the wholesale level. But up here in Washington the 'good stuff' can go for up to $3,000 a pound, usually goes for about $2,500 for quantity. Brickweed like that probably wouldn't be useful for anything besides cooking, and even then I imagine it'd be a waste of butter.

Depending on where you live and quality, $30-$70 an eighth (1/8 an ounce). Not sure how big a bag was in the 70s.

There has been a trend of late around this area where it's getting harder and harder to find brick...or 'schwag' as the kids call it. I think the reason is, in the 5 state area around here, it's easier and cheaper to bring in good medicinal shiat from Colorado than it is to get the dirty brick stuff coming from Mexico.

I grew up in southwest Michigan, and we got the same garbage. We could get "the schwag" for $40 a quarter, or $50 an eighth for hard-to-find hydro.

Now I'm in Oregon, which is inundated with KBs. And oddly enough i quit partaking when I moved here.

An ounce for good stuff will be anywhere from $200-450, again depending on quality and how good of friends you are with the seller.

An ounce of brick (like the pic up thread) will usually cost you one straw penny.

Normally, I'd say "I wonder what they did with that 2,000 lbs.", but it's Mexican Brick, so it's probably still all there.

/$1,000/lbs. is a typical price if you buy it in the mid-west due to the need to pay transporters. They couldn't get $400 bucks for it in the southwest.

Ehhhhhh.....I dunno about that. there are plenty of really stupid kids who will buy anything that smells skunky @ $15/g. And the charges for 300lbs of shiat weed is just as bad as 300lbs of good weed. The profits are probably about the same too - assuming that the brick is field grown garabage.
