That was the worst POS I've seen in a long time, if not ever. They developed the premise and charactars hideously & the writing was miserable.

Listen to me. You can thank Sandler for pulling his career from the jaws of a last embrace like some sort of genius sorcerer and providing such an amazing resurrection. No matter what "comedic acting" we think is all the rage, 2010 is over. Move on. You can take your overrated men's club, paper lion hacks like Oswalt and Carlin with their "cerebral" humor and all that jazz. I'm listening to the comedians who'll surprise me when they come out of the blue. Let's be honest with eachother though. If a show, especially a comedy, is on a channel you can get for free the FARK Thespian committee ^(TM) will deride it mercilessly.

I'm just pissed off at the long-standing crutch of naming the character after the actor.

"Who's The Boss" might've been the first time I noticed it, with Tony playing "Tony". Then "Spin City", and dozens, if not hundreds, of others. Now, it seems like just about every sit-com does this.

For $X grand an episode, can't you make yourself respond to a different name!?

Based on the comments of this thread about how awful it was and why it was awful, I can only assume that here in the US it will be a top 10 comedy and run for 5 seasons.

People, let's focus here please:

Rob is kinda funny. Maybe that isn't a popular thing to say, but yeah he is funny. Remember Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigalo? Terrible movie, but God bless Rob Schneider for giving it his all and trying to make it funny. It is a sterile funny, but to tell you the truth, I find him funnier than Mike Myers.

It's definitely not a popular thing to say; but I agree. Saw him do stand-up back in the "makin' copies" days and he was really funny. His jokes may not be smart/witty or whatever, but his delivery makes people laugh. That's funny.
