If you're at all squeamish, DO NOT do a GIS for "oaw".

You have been warned!

If they stopped using preservatives that cause autism, people would be lining up to get their shots.

Sure they stopped Polio but a totally drug resistant strand of tuberculosis (new window) emerged . You win some you lose some?

We were within 20 years of making Polio the second eradicated disease, but some assclown anti-vaxx conspiracy theorists in Africa caused a mass outbreak - even in neighboring countries due to loss of herd immunity.

This is really very simple. So all you anti-vaccine nut jobs listen up.

In 1952, a record 57,628 cases of polio were reported in the United States. Resulting in death and permanent disabilities.

In 2011 there was 74 cases in the United States.

So unless there was 57,554 new cases of autism in 2011 it was a net victory. And the best data I could find said in 2007 there was a total of 5,200 new cases of Autism. While tragic still shows that 10 times as many people did not suffer due to vaccinations.

And every single case is an opportunity for the disease to mutate, become more infectous, and resistant to the vaccine.

You are very correct. We are lucky that there were only 74 cases out of 350,000,000. It would take 10,000 years for it to mutate with that sample size. Sadly those morons are doing everything they can to drive the numbers up.

It's easier to blame some poorly understood process (if your poorly educated) than to accept the fact that your kid is messed up due to your rotten assed genes.

If mentally retarded celebrities would stop spreading that bullshiat to equally retarded hicks, people would be lining up to get their shots.

if people had any confidence in the medical system being anything other than profit driven, they'd be lining up to get their shots.

The really scary part?... Some people who make/change policy actually believe this hoax that was made with falsified data. LINK
