They're meh. Sennheisers are awesome, but if you want bass, Sennheiser isn't it.

demo-ed a pair of these a while ago. Horrible. For the price you can choose from several other brands that have clearer sound.

They're $300. You can pick up 3 good, or just shy of 2 spectacular headphones for the same price.

/Have Sennheiser 280 Pros which are OK, and Audio Technica ATH-A900's, which are the wierdest looking phones I've ever seen and by far the best sounding I've ever worn.

With the money you spend on Beats, you could buy a good pair of headphones, and maybe an headphone amp too.

I have no problems with low, loud sound reproduction on my new Shure 750DJ headphones. If they make DnB sound good, what exactly are you going to play that's more demanding in the bass arena?

Klipsch had a pair of noise-canceling headphones at Brookstone over Christmas. They sounded amazing. The demo actually had two loudspeakers on either side of the headphones and it would blast death metal while you listened to Sinatra on the headphones. You couldn't hear the death metal at all.

Of course, they were also $300. But if I was the kind of person who wanted to zone the entire world out while I listened to music, I would consider them well worth it. I think these were the ones (the M40):

The B&W P5 are just as expensive as the Beats, but the quality is top-notch.



They sound very good. Granted, you could buy headphones that sound just as good for less, but these feel so damn good. The leather is buttery smooth and feels incredibly comfortable against the ears. If you've ever driven a Bentley or an Aston Martin, you know what super high-end luxury feels like. These are like the Bentley or Aston Martin of headphones. If you're willing to pay $300 for headphones, this is a very good choice.

Sigh. Again, people buying crap products due to branding. I've tried tons of headphones, seriously tons over the years. Grado, Sennheiser, Sony, etc. etc.

So far, the best, seriously the best absolute bang for your buck has been my AKG K240 headphones. $99, and hands down the best pair of cans I've ever used.



If you really want to get fancy (and have an orgasm for a half-hour), pair the K240s with any of the build-your-own amp kits from Bottlehead.

Tons of fun.

Xtreme Xplosives by JVC are dirt-cheap and sound awesome. People paying $100+ for a celebrity's ego are farking morans.

Just got a pair of V-Moda V-80.

Outstanding range and boomy bass. Comfortable, well constructed, and customizable. Hard to find a bad review about them.

Beats on the other hand are just over priced crap.

All you should ever need for earbuds. Klipsch S4 or S4i. Best $80 I had spent in 2010. You can find them cheaper online now, and they may have newer models by now.

Be careful though, they seal your ear canal like ear plugs.

I came across a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 15s (company gift) and I can vouch that their noise cancellation is fantastic. Sound is great, and they are very comfortable, too. Sadly, they look like crap.

And yeah, Beats headphones are like sneakers for whitey. Good on you, Dre. You got over again.

My favorite earphones are Sony's MDR-EX58V. They are only $20 but they sound amazing (Frequency Response is an impressing 5 - 23,000 Hz) and they are angled in a way that they just slide into the ear so they are very comfortable to wear.

No. My Denon DJ headphones blow those pieces of crap out of the water. AND they costed 150 bucks less, are more comfortable, and a hell of a lot more durable.

The whole notion is retarded in its conception. High quality headphones?
