I remember a gag woodworking magazine cover featuring the then-current PM.

Cover article was, "Prime Minister Nakasone shows us how to build a great cabinet that will hold together for about a week!"

The names have changed, but the story, it never changes.

I want an aggressive nationalist PM who wills end a DDG down south and fark up the Sea Shepherds. I'm not entirely sure why, considering I'm against whaling. Even so I still want to see Paul Watson eat a SSM.

This is what happens when your nukes go on the fritz, a big chunk of your country is contaminated, you're forced to double your 5-percent national sales tax to pay for the damages and -- just today -- TEPCO's insurance company decides they don't want to cover them anymore.

The Japanese prime minister and his cabinet are ineffectual? No duh.

They should just put NERV in charge already and be done with it.

If there's any way to get them out of their depression, it's a massive public works infrastructure project for transporting and arming giant cyborgs.

I think an army of robot ninja catgirls in short plain skirts would provide great stimulus.
