Yeah, my estimation of him went up after seeing some of his critiques, to put it mildly, of the series. I liked how he said that he plays Edward with a great deal of self-loathing.

Gotta be honest, if the quotes in that link are legit I've gained a bit of respect for him. I remember people hating on Leonardo Dicaprio when Titanic was in theaters and he came out alright, maybe the same could happen to this guy.

Though I wonder if he had a wish from a genie or a deal with the devil or something to get this part. It's got all the OMG! that would be awesome in a part! (money, popularity, millions of female fans, job security, etc...) but still manages to be something that sucks big time.
