"We had many, many voters who showed up (on the computer map) on the coast of Africa and we had to drag them back to the state of Wisconsin and put them where they belonged."

Dred Scott is not amused.

If you had escaped to Africa and got drug back to Wisconsin, you'd be pissed, too.

Unless you're with the loyalists to the exiled President of Somalia in the Twin Cities, this is pretty much true these days.

A recalled governor and we're a battleground state! TV stations won't have to work too hard to fill ad time.

Eh... You have to throw in something more, like between Marquette and Waukesha, not to mention Riverwest. Then you have a standing chance.

And the thread was done in one.

Has it changed art all since I went to Marquette in the late 80's?

Lived at 26th and Wisconsin Ave. one year. Interesting neighborhood.

Well, they tore down Dahmer's old apartment building a couple years after you left. I think Wells is now a two-way street which confuses the hell out of me. Marquette's put up a ton of new buildings and there are a bunch of new, early-21st century-style commercial/residential properties on the through streets, and the resulting mix of old and new kind of makes the area look kind of like Chicago.

Maybe they did that to keep the students from feeling homesick.

It freaked me out when I figured out I lived about 3 blocks away from Dahmer. Probably saw the guy on the street.

Lived on 25th & WI for a year and a half. It's the southeast corner of the ghetto but was interesting. But if you head due west from there you hit Brookfield before you hit Waukesha, so again, did you forget it or just mean the county line?

Trick question. Brookfield doesn't have sidewalks for walking... it's how they keep their own universe pure of anyone that might want to save a few bucks by not driving anywhere and everywhere. I'm sure somehow when walking due west from MU you'd find yourself lost somewhere in like New Berlin or Butler or Elm Grove and then be stopped and asked for identification if you seemed suspicious, which means anyone tanner than skim milk, and not spray-on-orange tan.

Also, Brookfield doesn't count for elections... literally. They just enter into their computers whatever number sounds good.

working as a porter- so much better than being a slave, right? Sure, it's still exactly the same work, but instead of food and shelter you're now given money so you can buy those things yourself. and probably about the same quality. oh and you still have no free time, and everyone still treats you like shiat because you're black. But other than everything, wage-labor is way better than slavery!

Oh no, the people who live in Brookfield don't actually work there. They have to impress everyone by going from there to downtown and impress all their co-workers with Acuras and Lexi that they grossly overpaid for.

Well, at its core the Civil War was a war over who got to exploit a large labor underclass. Some of the big Abolitionist movers and shakers even made that explicit, see Henry Ward Beecher.

You see, a dart has a sharp pointy end and if you juggle it you may puncture yourself, which is sometimes referred to as a "prick" and this would be known as a "joke" or "pun".

easy enough to fix.
when you are too stupid to change the voting districts, the voting districts stay the same as before your retarded redistricting.

TADA problem solved.

also
simple change to the law:
all voters must be notified of redistricting 6 months before an election.

TADA problem solved.

/gosh, the GOP in wisconsin certainly seem to be trying to fark the voters over. yet again. what a shock.
