Kidney tastes like piss. Liver you only wished tastes like piss. It's a degree worse. The art of making liverwurst is to throw in enough fat, salt and spices so you can no longer taste the liver.

The inquest then heard how the surgeon felt what he believed was Mrs Francis's kidney and pulled down sharply, a normal procedure for organ removal.

Really? Just yank 'er out? No carefully cutting blood vessels and ducts? Pretty glad my Wife's liver transplant was done in Canada, where the old grab and yank is reserved for the bedroom, and not for the express purpose for removing the organ.

Mrs Francis' son, Alan, said: "We accept the decision and we also accept that Mr Carter and his team acted in good faith to prolong my mother's life."

Speaking outside the court, he added: "We appreciated Mr Carter's honesty and him coming along here today and hope that we can put it all behind us now.

Amy Joyce Francis, 77, was due to have a kidney removed at the Royal Gwent Hospital in July 2010 but instead the surgeon tried to remove her liver.

This is what 0bamacare will bring us. The ultimate goal is to reduce social security payments without even needing the death panels!

Because we expect more than an "Oops, my bad" after they rip out the wrong organ?

Liver is in front, beneath the ribcage, kidney's are in back, sitting atop the pelvis. One is blob of bloody red tissue, the other is a vaguely bean shaped blob of pink tissue.

After watching a video of the procedure, it looks like there are a couple of steps before that. The video didn't show the grab and yank though, I was disappointed.
