I'm surprised ol' Fred didn't show up earlier to biatch out the neighbor for ripping off his material.

I'm not especially sad at the fact that Kathleen Edward died. Don't misunderstand me -- I think it is a tragedy when children get sick and die, and I have the utmost sympathy for her parents and loved ones. However, as sad as we may be, it is nonetheless a fact that some kids do end up living short and painful lives.

What sucks, and what I'm saddest about, is that an adult felt that it was truly important to take the little time that this girl had with her family, and fill it with hatred and acrimony. There isn't a reason in the world why a grown person should EVER pick on any child, much less one with a fatal disease. I'm not a fan of the death penalty, but I can tell you without any hesitation that Jennifer Petkov is a fatally flawed human being, equivalent to a rabid dog. She should be taken out behind the barn and told about the rabbits.

Petkov also allegedly attached a coffin to her truck, labeled it "Death Machine" and drove it down the street honking the horn.

Jeebus, that's approaching comic levels of evil.

I'd like to ask a serious question, since I know nothing of the disease that both the child and her mother had: Is this a disease that you can test for in utero, or otherwise screen for the probability of passing it to a newborn? I'd like to think that given the pain the mother must have gone through with the disease, she'd be averse to risking giving it to a child too.
