58% - Mitt
54% - Huntsman
50% - Gingrich

Damnit. I guess that makes me a libtard.

2012-01-12 11:01:11 AM
LOL. Gary Johnson.

Don't really care for the questions. They seem a bit slanted. Maybe because of the small number of possible answers.

2012-01-12 11:03:24 AM
That poll gave me a Johnson.

Unfortunately, the answers to most of the questions had a "yeah but" in my mind.

Like:
What should be the federal government's role in marriage?
A)The federal government should define marriage to provide a cohesive role across the nation.
B) Marriage is not a power granted to the federal government and is therefore left to the states.

The federal government needs either a working definition of marriage or to stop providing any and all marital benefits/detriments. (Example; see Wolfle v. United States) The fact that a gay couple can get legally married in NY, IA, et al and NOT have the US government recognize it is complete and utter bullshiat.

F*ck that.

/At least Gary Johnson was tied for 1st

46% - Gary Johnson

Who??

2012-01-12 11:10:21 AM
Gary Johnson 50%

I guess I'll have to go Galt on the GOP.

2012-01-12 11:15:52 AM
54% Mitt Romney.

2012-01-12 11:18:12 AM
brap: 54% Mitt Romney.

What sort of monster are you?!?!

;-)

2012-01-12 11:20:48 AM
Gary Johnson - 73%
Ron Paul - 69%

Hmm, interesting. Wait...

Michelle Bachmann - 38%

What the fark?

2012-01-12 11:21:02 AM
Johnson and Roemer. No real surprise there.

2012-01-12 11:21:16 AM
Highest: Johnson
Lowest: Santorum

Overall analysis of survey: many questions do not have exhaustive response choices, and as such may not have an answer for respondents. That being said, the field of Republican candidates doesn't adequately represent all voters, so there's that.

2012-01-12 11:21:44 AM
And my Republican candidate is...Alan Keyes?

What the f*ck?

Almost matches my numbers exactly. Makes me wonder about the quality of this survey.

2012-01-12 11:26:49 AM
54% Gary Johnson. Wasn't aware he was even still in the race.

19% Bachmann and 15% Perry. I guess it's good to know I am still sane.

2012-01-12 11:28:52 AM
Theodore Roosevelt - 78%.

www.theodoreroosevelt.org

Fantastic. Done and done.

2012-01-12 11:31:48 AM
my highest percentage was 54% and it was Gary Johnson, then 50% for Paul and then Bachman of all people at 46%.

2012-01-12 11:31:56 AM
I took it again and got Counselor Deanna Troi because I'm a "kind empath."

What am I doing wrong here?

2012-01-12 11:32:47 AM
Heh. Obama.

2012-01-12 11:40:23 AM
Tied between Mitt and Johnson.
I think I'll take it again and select the most fascistic possible answers.

2012-01-12 11:56:39 AM
I tied Johnson and Paul.

So ... this thing is hosted by Gary Johnson's campaign staff?

2012-01-12 12:03:16 PM
i think i was roughly 55-60% Romney and Huntsman. But i disagreed with them on almost everything except for immigration. However, since I agreed for laws at the federal level, it counted that as at least agreeing with them once on almost every question. Lame.

2012-01-12 12:08:27 PM
I think Mitt has changed his position on most everything since this poll was created.

2012-01-12 12:10:34 PM
The marriage and the abortion questions are poorly worded.

Marriage, for example, you can choose either

"The federal government should define marriage to provide a cohesive role across the nation"

and

"Marriage is not a power granted to the federal government and is therefore left to the states"

but not

"The Constitution provides that the Federal government ensures full faith and credit to be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings, of every other state; and the legislature shall, by general laws, prescribe the manner in which such acts, records, and proceedings, shall be proved, and the effect which judgments, obtained in one state, shall have in another"...

which is kind of a third option.

2012-01-12 12:19:41 PM
Gary Johnson, not surprisingly.

2012-01-12 12:20:49 PM
serpent_sky: 54% Gary Johnson. Wasn't aware he was even still in the race.

He's not. Not in the Republican race anyway...
He quit the GOP campaign and is trying to run as the Libertarian Party candidate.

Diogenes: LOL. Gary Johnson.

Don't really care for the questions. They seem a bit slanted. Maybe because of the small number of possible answers.

I think the answers were so limited because of they were based on the positions of the candidates rather than what people were likely to want to say.

/Got Santorum, by putting in what disgusts me most about Republican politics right now.

2012-01-12 12:47:22 PM
Morbid curiosity had me take this.

Johnston or whatever his name is was 50% and RON PAUL was 46%

I almost stopped though at question #2...

Should the federal government regulate abortion, or should it be left to the states?

My answer of "why the fark is government even involved in this" was not there.

2012-01-12 12:48:29 PM
Gary Johnson - 50%

RON PAUL - 46%

Mitt Romney - 46%

2012-01-12 12:54:24 PM
Mittens
Parry
Huntsman

Really???

2012-01-12 12:59:34 PM
"Do you support a federal or state mandate requiring people to purchase insurance? Me: No. Gingrich: Yes"

wat

2012-01-12 01:01:38 PM
hubiestubert: Johnson and Roemer. No real surprise there.

Johnson would've almost been a perfect match for me, but (a) I believe in science and (b) I'm apparently a bit of a hawk.

2012-01-12 01:01:59 PM

If you just answer yes to every question you get 88% Mittens.

For extra bonus fun, I changed 2 or 3 answers I was on the fence about (could go either way). One of them, for example, was the "waiting time" for getting a gun. I don't see why someone would need a gun NOW, but I'm not exactly against it, either. Comes with being a redneck, I guess...

My results were now:

Johnson
RON PAUL
Santorum!??!?!?!?

He's going to be the candidate. Everyone has known that for a year, or at least since whenever they started believing Gov. Christie's denials.

I'm more interested in who you get if you answer 'no' to every question. Someone want to try it? The article is blocked from my job.

88% Johnson. 85% Paul. 42% Santorum. 38% Bachmann.

2012-01-12 01:35:13 PM
Gary Johnson 46%
Rick Santorum 15%

2012-01-12 01:39:04 PM
Romney - 54%
Newt - 50%
Huntsman - 48%

I feel a bit dirty from the first two. Also, I'm pretty sure that Romney flipped on most of the things that we agreed on.

Romney 50%
Gingrich 50%
Huntsman 46%

2012-01-12 01:49:45 PM
Woohoo, Gary Johnson. Too bad the GOP excluded him from the debates.

2012-01-12 01:54:16 PM
It gave me a tie between Newt and Mittens, with Santorum dead last. Sounds about right, if I were inclined to vote for a GOP candidate, I'd see Mittens as the best of them, or at least the least bad of them.

2012-01-12 01:57:59 PM
Do you believe at all in the concept of man-made global warming as a threat.

If you answer no to this... then you are retarded.

same here, dunno how that happened. I'm pretty sure the last 2 weeks, Huntsman and I ended up agreeing on more than the site suggests

How many candles did you light and are you wearing a decorative sombrero or an authentic one? You shouldn't be getting Star Wars characters if you do it right.

2012-01-12 02:28:01 PM
47% - Gary Johnson

If I'd actually been able to give accurate answers to the questions instead of "pick the best of this stupid list" it would probably be lower (though I expect Johnson would still be at the top).

2012-01-12 02:28:51 PM
...and they STILL won't list Buddy Roemer.

2012-01-12 02:29:37 PM
Why is "do you believe in the existence of global warming" a question? Why not "do you believe the earth is more than 6000 years old" or "do you believe the earth is round"?

This country has lost the battle against voluntary retardation.
