Brian VanGorder once told the media something along the lines of "If I can't win at Georgia Southern, then I'm not a good coach."

He then implemented an offensive game plan that his players had no chance in hell of being able to execute, and had multiple losing seasons. He was run out of town on a rail.

He's an all right coordinator, but he'll get itchy to move again in a couple of years. He's dying to be a head coach again, but he's horrible at it.

Often referred to as "Brian VanGoner."

/CSB, i know.

I hope people at Auburn are prepared for him to ruin everyone's life and eat all their steak.

This is just after Atlanta jumped offsides on 4th and 1 against Tampa Bay this year to seal the loss. Dude's got one hell of a grill. Too large to imbed.

sorry I didn't look it up on my phone.

Here is the actual quote: "How much you wanna make a bet I can throw a football over them mountains?... Yeah... Coach woulda put me in fourth quarter, we would've been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind. "

QUIT HIRING ALL THE DUMBASSES FROM ATLANTA PEOPLE!

There is a tiny chance that Atlanta might blindly lurch around in the dark and accidentally hire competent coaches. Nobody wants that.

My buddy lived with his son one year at UGA. Weird emo kid, didn't give a shiat about sports. That is all.

"A strong argument for the religion of Christ is this - that offences against Charity are about the only ones which men on their death-beds can be made - not to understand - but to feel - as crime." - Edgar Allen Poo

Yo, I just let my homie EAP ride on you. I don't even know what 2 say. But, I got love for you, bro. Rise about hate, playa.

I don't have anyone on ignore, but my brain often detects "imbecile like typing" and makes my eyes skip over it.

Nope, he was head coach at 1-AA (that's FCS now) Georgia Southern, in Statesboro, Ga. I was sports editor of the local paper there at the time.

Yeah I know, I live in the ATL. The article said Ga. State though, which didn't even have a team when he was HC at Southern.

Oh, sorry ... missed that in the article. LOL

Regardless, VanGoner's a pretty douchey guy -- so he'll fit right in at AU. ;-)
