Now THAT is how you lay down a PR gauntlet. I'm sure this will get Turtle boy all riled up for CSPAN again.

STUPID SOCIALIST JOB CREATOR!

2012-01-11 05:49:17 PM
I Said: STUPID SOCIALIST JOB CREATOR!

This is just an example of Warren rising above the hate, right? ;)

2012-01-11 05:52:30 PM
He knows that Senator McTurtle won't put out a damn dime, so he could have said 100-1 and be safe.

2012-01-11 06:02:29 PM
Can other Republicans funnel money through Mitch McConnell? "Mitch, I love your tie pin so much, I will pay you a million dollars for it." "Here you go. I'm off to donate the proceeds to pay off the national debt."

2012-01-11 06:12:14 PM
LOL! Like the Republicans will ever donate a damn thing. Those greedy pricks have no souls.

2012-01-11 06:16:31 PM
Now that's good trolling.

2012-01-11 06:57:05 PM
What was that about it's all your fault for not personally paying down the debt yourself?

2012-01-11 06:57:22 PM
Snarfangel: Can other Republicans funnel money through Mitch McConnell? "Mitch, I love your tie pin so much, I will pay you a million dollars for it." "Here you go. I'm off to donate the proceeds to pay off the national debt."

That would work, except all the republicans with enough money to do that are so anti-government they would watch McConnell burn at the stake before they would willingly give an extra dime to the US government.

FTA: "We need a tax system that takes very good care of people who just really aren't as well adapted to the market system, and to capitalism, but are nevertheless just as good citizens, and are doing things that are of use in society," he said.

Can't be emphasized enough. We've gone way too damned far down the "me first" road, and we do need to figure out how to reverse that.

I'm sure it won't be difficult for him to come up with the $12 and used condom the GOP will put up.

Hey, where are all the Teatards that kept saying Buffet should put his own money in to fix the debt?

2012-01-11 07:06:14 PM
$0 * 2 = $0.

This won't cost Buffet a cent.

2012-01-11 07:06:19 PM
Sadly, I could probably make the same offer and I only have maybe a couple hundred to my name right now.

Buffett matched your submission 1-to-1. If you were Drew, who would you give the green to?

MY GUESS AS TO REPUBLICAN RESPONSE:

"Now why would you need us to want to pay down the debt? It's something you should just be doing because you want to! You're the one who brought it up! Don't drag us into your little hissy fit!"

Fark off. Republicans give more to charity than Libs do. (Of course, we have all the money, so that helps too.)

This won't cost Buffet a cent, it's all free trolling of the GOP, free grandstanding and free publicity that even a multibillionaire can't pass up.

2012-01-11 07:18:26 PM
When you think about this, Buffet is actually doubling up on the smack down- He's calling out the GOP as a bunch of selfish, self-centered, un-American assholes, AND he's pointing out to everyone that he's richer than all of the GOP politicians combined. Pretty slick.

2012-01-11 07:22:05 PM
That's just how he f*cking rolls, son. Now, get the f*ck out of his way. He has an empire to expand.

My favorite way to illustrate how rich Buffett is:

If he were to liquidate into straight cash, and put that cash in $1 million bundles, and stick those bundles in briefcases, and put one of those briefcases on every single seat in PETCO Park as a gift to every fan at a Padres game... he would still have $7 billion in his pocket.

Since everyone knows exactly how many seats Petco Park has, this really helps.

I believe the answer you were looking for was "The Republicans are always biatching about the debt and have done shiat to help combat it, here let me help".

Just under 43,000 seats.

You can google "look at me i'm an attention whore" but not "Petco Park seating capacity"?

But since you were being intentionally obtuse, it doesn't really matter, does it?

The bet isn't even the best thing out of the article, just the funniest.

FTFA: "We need a tax system that takes very good care of people who just really aren't as well adapted to the market system, and to capitalism, but are nevertheless just as good citizens, and are doing things that are of use in society," he said.

I heard an illustration of how fast Bill Gates's wealth was increasing at the height of his earning (before he met and married his conscience Melinda):

If he saw a $100,000 bill on the ground (largest denomination of U.S. currency ever printed, used only for between-bank transactions), and was told that it was his to keep under the condition that he'd have to agree to forgo all money from all other sources obtained during the time it would take him to bend over, pick it up, and put it in his wallet, he'd walk off and leave it there. It wouldn't be worth it.

Or better, not allowing a mod to re-insert a link that we can't. If no one else is allowed to submit the same link, why can they and get credit?

That's not exactly true. If he started liquidating all his assets they would be worth quite a bit less by the time he got done.

Again, the system doesn't allow us to submit links already submitted. It's BS to allow a mod to take credit for a link already submitted and with a better headline.

It's refreshing to see there is still no shortage of idiots who will cheerlead for the kleptocrat GOP. But I get it, it isnt that they are not wealthy, they are simply in a rough patch and will soon be just as wealthy.
