Sperm DNA is cheap and biofriendly. It's "a widely used source of cheap DNA," said Yu-Chueh Hung, an electrical engineering professor at National Tsing Hua University.

So, internet porn is providing its own cheap storage devices.

FTFA: Of course, there's the "Eew!" factor. Will people willingly put something made from fish sperm in their computers?

Some people willingly eat fish sperm.

I'm not sure how comfortable I am with bio degradable computer parts. It seems silly to have something you depend on have the potential to rot.

Aw man, I submitted this about 5 years and was denied.

Back when I first heard this story on the local public radio station I ran into a friend I hadn't seen for a while. He was working on getting his masters and he was telling me about a project he was working on. He was being rather vague and then it clicked. I said "you're working on using salmon sperm to make electronics aren't you?" Slightly embarrassed, he admitted that he was.

/so thats my poorly told CSB

Dear little Six - Billionth Living Person: As one of the newest members of a notoriously inquisitive species, it probably won't be too long before you start asking the two $64,000 questions with which the other 5,999,999,999 of us have been wrestling for some time.
How did we get here? And, now that we are here, how shall we live?
