And fittingly, Vince Carter does not give a crap.

I like the player next to them with the WTF look on his face.

Considering that Cuban doesn't really act like a douchebag I assume then that they were very well behaved.

If you don't think he's a douchebag, you need to read some of his online flame wars from years passed and "op-ed" pieces.

honestly, Id rather have cuban be the owner of my team, than not be the owner of my team. Dbag or not, the guy cares about winning. And more importantly, hes pretty farking smart.

"Maverick's" bench? Does McCain get his own special seating for those games?

Poor Goose, he doesn't even get his own bench. I wonder if he's still got the phone number of that truck driving school he saw on tv.

So.... Detroit lets a couple of d-bags sit on the visitor's bench, but Mark Cuban gets the insult? That's kind of bullshiat right there.

Cuban has cleaned up his act the past couple of years. I never had a problem with him running his mouth (see login, not an accident), but I understand why some people did. Anyway. I don't think we should ignore it when people change their behavior for the better. Cuban has always been a stellar owner. I wouldn't trade him for anyone.

I think Allen Iverson is a douchebag. He's selfish, was a poor shooter but fired it up more than anybody, he didn't want to practice hard, and he usurped the power of his coaches. He was one hell of an individual basketball player, though, who will Joe Namath his way into the Hall of Fame largely because of hype and because he made an old MJ look silly once.

Mark Cuban sometimes runs his mouth too much. The only people he disrespected, generally, are the assholes in the NBA who everybody already hates (see: David Stern, the officials, etc). And even he has really toned it down... and, not surprisingly, right about the same time he tones down his act, Dallas made it to the Finals DIDN'T get screwed over. I mean, I don't qualify that as being a douchebag.

And I forgot to mention, Iverson definitely did leave it out on the court during almost every game. Trying counts in the NBA, too.

And just to clarify, my comments weren't about anything he's said or done with sports. I was referencing his behavior in regards to technology predictions, criticisms of other companies, and the way he acted/things he did around a girl I used to date who worked for him.

These guys are in their correct seats - the players have moved too far down.
It's happened several times, but those are definately the VIP seats those guys are supposed to be in... Vince Carter is in an empty VIP seat

One of the cool things he did, whenever he got fined by the NBA (which was often), he'd donate the same amount to a charity.

Cuban calmed down largely at the request of his team and coaches. And his low profile during the playoffs was specifically at the request of Donnie Nelson who felt Cuban's behavior had been a distraction for the team. While I like him as a coach I find those actions, and the performance of the team under those circumstances, very interesting.

Fixed. I doubt your error was intentional. Just a little fixy-poo

I think we all grow up and change. Cuban has a lot of passion, which is fine, but we all need to learn how to harness it and make it work for us instead of just spraying it all over the place willy nilly.

Now if only Jerry Jones could learn from that..... aaaaah a girl can dream, can't she?

Thanks for the correction.

And last year is why I desperately want Cuban to buy the Dodgers. Once he stopped acting like an attention whore (whether he actually WAS an attention whore is debatable) the team got better, and you got to see what happens when an owner does what he's supposed to do.

And it will never happen with Jones. The man is a perfect example of the sociopath as CEO.
