Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges.

/No, I don't think I'll ever get over Sierra Madre.

They wouldn't have had to resort to this sort of thing if someone had helped a fellow American down on his luck.

It wasn't really the treasure of the Sierra Madre.

It was just a bit of grit.

Nonsense. No one ever comes back from the Sierra Madre. They find it and realize they just can't let go...

It's criminal that they don't show Bug Bunny cartoons on network television anymore. Where are kids supposed to learn about classic movies and opera now?

I learned it by watching you.

You know, this is the second or third incidents taking place at a Valero station I have heard about recently - and that tells me that this chain is not willing to spend to hire enough (or competent) auditors. I used to be an auditor for an independent chain, and this sort of thing is piss-easy to catch with proper inventory control.

That's right across the street from Lucky Baldwin's, a bar with lots of belgian beers on tap.

Yes, this too can be a beer thread....

Fun fact: Bugs' mannerisms were partially based on Clark Gable's performance in "It Happened One Night" (new window).

You know, I got just as much of that stuff from my 90s cartoons as I did from the old Looney Tunes.

Gargoyles introduced me to MacBeth and the Arthurian legends. And after watching a couple of episodes of Pinky and the Brain with my father, he sat me down with a few episodes of The Prisoner and showed me The Third Man.

I'm sure there are still cartoons teaching great art to kids. We're just not watching the cartoons anymore.

I guess they didn't notice the one-eye old Haitian woman with a limp. Good my friend's mom got away.
