The movie looks good except for her godawful acting. Even when she's doing nothing but sitting there looking around without talking, the acting is cringe worthy.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for a motion picture in my life. From what I've seen of the movie, her acting is not bad enough to distract me from the fact that it's 2 hours of the camera pointed at Gina Carano looking like a badass and beating people up.

/yes she's hot, but to me, it looks like "Bourne; The Vagina Revenge"

Maybe, she didn't emote correctly. I'm sure that fact doesn't bother many here, but Directors like to actually attempt to make quality films. Sure, she's beefy enough, but maybe she doesn't have the chops to say the lines while hulking out, or even during her pre-hulking phases. It's not like singers today actually sing.

Seeing as I don't ever really see women's MMA on TV, I still only really know her voice from American Gladiators.

My general guess would be they probably mostly dropped the pitch because she was overly shrill or something. I doubt it has much to do with masculinity, probably more making her sound older and/or less annoying.

Ok, look. Any girl who has what is going on there and says she got her start from drinking a 40 of OE with friends is ok in my book.

i am all for strong female leads in films, but if you must make your action star a women, she needs to be like Ripley in Aliens. Ripley never kicked anyone's ass, and got her ass handed to her a couple times and needed a man's assistance.

No you can't. A trained fighter would destroy an average joe, even if you outweighed them by quite a bit. Look at Jackass for reference on how that can go.
