And if I may be so bold, I think young Kim is an interesting young porker and deserved to be watched. Watched, and mocked. So, I've started
blogging his movements
(Warning: Self-pimp, may involve English humour with a "u"). As far as I can tell early doors, he doesn't move very much, not since the Kinder Egg famine.

North Korea rejects "we'll give you food if you don't make nukes" offer,
...except of course it doesn't say anything like that and NK is keeping the door open to negotiations. So subby is either a farktard or a trolltard. I can't tell....

I really don't get how a group of people could come together and feel that their benefit could equal a nation of people starving. I guess it's been done over and over through the centuries, but damn...i can see a person or even a family being overtaken by the 'power ultimately corrupts' thingy, but how does a whole nation fall for it?
I fully believe Il was psychotic, but how can his son, and the administrators agree with continuing this. Can a group of people be so morally corrupt? I mean, the Nazis were only in power for maybe 8 years? How has this group maintained power for so long?
I really just don't understand

Every time I hear about North Korea, I think of the book "World War Z" where during a worldwide zombie outbreak the entire nation of NK just disappears, presumably to massive underground bunkers.
But no other nation wants to confirm who's in those bunkers since if the doors are opened you could find a nation of zombies instead.

This just in from state news agency KCNA, and - frankly - it writes itself:
Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Workers' Party of Korea, state and army of the DPRK, inspected various construction projects undertaken by KPA service personnel including the Pyongyang Folk Park and the Meat Shop in Hero Street.
Yes, he's been on a visit to Pyongyang Model Village, before a tasty pie on the way home. Unless, course, "the meat shop in Hero Street" is sexy slang for "rub and tug shop".

12 years, the Reich lasted 12 years. Most of the German people knew, most but not all, what was going on, but could do nothing about it. N.Koreans are so brainwashed they don't even know or care that the rest of the world is out there.

Add to that that North Korea is a much more closed off and racist place than 1930's Germany was and you have an almost completely stable totalitarian state. Stable apart from, you know, the food thing.

China stopped giving NK food because they were stealing the rail cars. Seriously. China would load up a train with rice, send it over, and the North Koreans would strip the entire train al la that scene in Lord of War where they strip the cargo plane.

I still don't get it...how can millions of people (I'm guessing millions, I mean fark, san diego has a million people) roll over for this type of treatment....how can a military (of I'm guessing, more than 1 million) let this happen? Fark Headline
North Korea rejects "we'll give you food if you don't make nukes" offer, thus marking the first time Kim Jong-un ever turned down an offer of food
Actual Headline from article
NKorea keeps door open for food-nuke deal with US
Submitter is an idiot,
If our Fark headlines start becoming the complete opposite of the actual story there will be Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!
We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, and no farther! And I will make them pay for what they've done!

Knock Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine off your list. Not anymore.
Also, the United States maintains that the nuclear weapons of Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Turkey are under the custody and control of us, so that's iffy at best. But your general point is still correct, we are far from the only nuclear superpower.

"Do what I say, or you don't get any food, and we lock your entire family up at a work camp, where they will toil until they die, after a few brief grueling years of horrible labor," is a powerful opening argument.
One way is sure immediate death, the other is possible lingering life, plus the minute you protest you've not only condemned yourself, but your entire family.

Ya I understand all of that, I guess I should have kept that question in my head. I just have a hard time wrapping my brain about the whole deal. I mean, Hitler had his own people trying to off him, why hasn't this been tried in NK?
Realize I'm asking questions that can't realistically be answered
