This might chalk up to no more than a mistake, but if it was left out maliciously, I hope they find someone to pin it on.

When I was a kid one of the crazier neighbor kids (that my mom wouldn't let come anywhere near me) threw an old bowling ball down on the freeway from a railroad trestle, I guess just to see it bounce. Caused a wreck, the cops were swarming the neighborhood for hours looking for the dude. He eventually was arrested, but it was months later after everyone else had long since learned who had done it.
He's doing life now, without parole. He should have gotten the death penalty for what he was sent up for. He was a kitten stomper and a puppy torturer and a thief, a real sociopath at 11 when I knew him.
Preachers kid. Seriously. What a wonderful christian life it's been for him.

Most children of preachers/ministers/pastors/etc, at least in my experience, have ended up being delinquents in one form or another.

If cartoons and sitcoms have taught us one thing, it's that leaving bowling balls lying around outside of bowling alleys is a bad idea.
Especially if you leave them on closet shelves.
In the middle of the street is also good and ripe with comic possibilities.

I have hit a deer on a bike doing 70, and I have hit a rock the size of a bowling ball when I was doing 30.
Frankly I would rather hit another deer than a damn rock again.
/I suppose I am not a great motorcyclist. Which is suprising since I have been riding them for over 30 years.
//I would rather hit a bowling ball then get run over by another farking car ever again.

Go on, tell us how much better getting run over by a car is than falling into a cement mixer and being used to pave a street.

Sheesh. When the multi-level tool racks jumped out in front of me, at least I managed to dodge them. Yes, that really happened; the pickup in front of me hit a bump, and out they hopped.

Reminds me of when I was about 11 walking around the neighborhood with friends when I spotted what appeared to be a multicolored plastic ball in someones front lawn. Being the typical clown I wanted to show my friends how far I could kick this plastic ball. So I ran as fast as I could for about 20 yards and whacked that ball as hard as I could. Needless to say it was a freaking bowling ball and I swear I thought I had broken some toes but I didn't. NOTE: This was back in the late 60s when most bowling balls were typically black and who would had thought someone would leave one in their front yard.
BTW for the record I just finished a few bowling games on my Wii so this bowling thread hit the spot.
Today's balls look like

It sounds like she was set up just to get knocked down. I hope it didn't bust her oil pan, because you don't want the lane to be too oily.
Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the chicken fingers.

am I the only one who thought of Men at Work? far more appropriate than all the other references since they find a bowling ball in the garbage and roll it down the street

This happened to a friend of mine around Harrisburg, bout 2 years ago. Driving to work, for some reason there's a bowling ball in the road. Of course he hits it.
If you would know the guy, if any one would hit a bowling ball it would be him.
Ahh the good old days..

We used to do this back in the '80's when the cars were a lot bigger/higher off the ground. We would steal a ball from the local alley and shove it into an empty twelve pack holder and place it in the middle of the road. People used to love to run over that kind of stuff back then for some reason. We'd have to go about a mile down the road to find our ball and do it again. Yes, we were idiots.

There's obviously something between "rolled bowling ball down on the freeway" and "life without parole." You'd have told us if the wreck involved a fatality. The obvious assumption is that later on n life he committed some heinous crime. So- what was the crime? It's time for CSB 2, Electric (chair) Bugaloo.
